It's great that you can find something in this game - you guys are great Have you considered making some kind of story or review for those who want to roll in? You mentioned that you have problems with the book, so, I am not English and there is not even a translation of the book in my language. Only a lot of work on excerpts and indirect discussions or mentions of this beauty...

The interesting thing about Nobilis is that while you can't roll dice for social situations, you're also not allowed by the book to use miracles to help you directly either so it usually comes down to strictly roleplay. Plus if they DO use miracles indirectly on people like they've been doing there are huge consequences for that anyway. I do still think you spent too long on the back and forth since it didn't really go anywhere interesting. The pacing needs to be a bit more clearly established for the players, I think, or there should be an understanding of what you all want the pacing to be. The game doesn't really feel like it's about nobles if they spend half of it just talking about establishing mortal identities that don't matter in the grand scheme unless this really is all they're doing. They're making a big deal out of nothing and letting mortals overtake them even though that's also against the laws.

In Glitch they did actually start calling that weird word (Auctoritus) Wards instead and I agree that was a really good choice. You should check out the new reprint of 3e since it fixes the art. I agree it's very bad overall and there was a big scandal over it.

lol super charming and entertaining ("Rapunzel, Rapunzel!") and also slightly infuriating at times for those who know Skyrim. I kept shouting to remember you can jump (helps with climbing steep bits of mountains), and don't worry about taking on multiple quests at once (there is no time limits on the vast majority of them, you can wander freely without caring, the quest-givers won't mind at all if you come back to them literally years later). You made a lot of good decisions, maybe unwittingly (being friendly to the Giants, the big guys with clubs, but respectful too, not getting too close - they don't like being approached at all), and not trying to join The Companions (they're so rude lol!). Standing in the open while a bandit fires arrows at you, brazenly searching his friends' corpses, is not a good survival strategy tho. But ya killed 'em all, so fair enough! I enjoyed this, thx.
