Do you still have this gpu? Also is the 8 pin on the back a traditional 8pin pci-e connector? Or different because its server? I have just become your 500th
... okay, but wtf IS an e-power board? All I can find on google is a Nissan powertrain by that name.
Yeah seriously! I asked Gemini and it seems like it has something to do with graphics cards. Would love to see more about this in the video description!
It's an external VRM (voltage regulator module) used to replace stock VRMs on GPUs for the purpose of increasing the amount of power that can be delivered to the GPU core (and memory, if needed). GPU overclocking using liquid nitrogen can increase the power drawn so much that some stock VRMs would blow up. nVidia's reference boards for high end Kepler and Maxwell like to do that (as a matter of fact, they're barely enough for complete stock operation of these GPUs). Haven't yet gotten around to doing my first e-powers but it's always heart-warming to see such projects see the light of day
Massive congrats on the project!
seeing this entire thing go from an idea to an actual working e-power is such a cool thing to experience
how did u put it back? after wiping GPU die, i found out the copper plate isnt making contact with it so thermal paste isnt working great also i know they used a torx T6 screw as 4 GPU screws(the ones with spring), where can i get one of those? i mightve broken one
Great video! I was wondering for a while now if it's possible to do a VRAM mod on the A750, upgrade to 16GB given it's mostly a scaled down A770. I also wonder if it's possible to put more, like 24GB or 32GB, but not sure where the VRAMs would be soldered to and what configuration could potentially work for such increases. I assume it would be tricky to source the VRAM modules as well. Probably would require a firmware update of some kind. Do you think such mods are possible? It would be interesting to know how you would approach such a mod. How you would check the feasibility for it. UPD: I have actually checked the GDDR6 modules of A750, I see one module that looks compatible and can double the capacity to 16GB. 24GB won't happen, because these RAM mods usually mean updating the modules to something double the capacity. The largest Samsung GDDR6 module of this type seems to be 16Gb, so the 16GB seems to be the maximum theoretically possible. Again, this just assumes that the modules will be compatible which is not guaranteed.
Say, do you think you could help me with an a770, I've not used it. Been sitting around for a year untill I get a REBAR MOBO + CPU combo. Or atleast a PCIE3 mobo. I finally built desktop for myself instead of selling and it has an 8350 lmao. I have a 2600 and mobo to switch it outfor that atleasts has PCIE3 but no USB3 lmao. Anyways where would I go to learn more about this stufff as I would like to make my a770LE ball as it was my birthday present. Just been using a 1070FE I am going to clean up and throw into a flipped opti to sell.
Have you considered giving the cold loop a really big insulated reservoir so you can "momentum" bench? As in cool down say 5-10L of water to -5C before starting the bench run. Water has a thermal capacity of ~4.2KJ per Kg. With some kind of "antifreeze" it obviously won't be as high capacity but even with a coolant thats 3KJ/Kg with 5L you'd get 15Kj per 1C temp increase so with a 300W card it would take 50 seconds to increase the temp by 1C. You could start firestrike at -5C and finish at like -3C.
I started working on a version 2 late last year and that is one thing that I wanted to test actually. I haven't yet exactly figured out how I'd implement it as one of the goals with the version 2 is to equally distribute the weight since the current design is quite the PITA to move around due to how long it is and how much heavier the side with the radiators mounted to it is.
I have this same card and was walking through your troubleshooting steps along with the video. V-Mem seems to have a short on my card, but I don’t see any visibly damaged parts as I try to trace it out. Any ideas for troubleshooting next steps?
Very nice!
Ach herje. Das ist ja verrückt; ich hätte da gar nicht die Mut dazu, vom Wissen mal ganz zu schweigen. Hast du einen öffentlichen Matrix-Raum oder Discord-Server?
I like the approach!
Awesome work man!
Does anyone get the issue when you take the hand piece out of the stand to solder and the screen goes on and off repeatedly and it won’t heat up? Any help would be appreciated. Great video as always. Thanks rich
Nice video, you remember the thickness of the thermal pads?
Nice video, when i did a test it said fail but it didn't give me the log, whats the command for it ? And where can i find it?

How does the Peltier perform on longer bench runs?
Not too badly. Except for continuous heat loads of ≥ ~200W. A 2nd revision of the peltier chiller is actually already in the works to remedy some of the shortcomings of the current design.
let's gooo
Does anyone know the word that means the opposite of figuratively?
nice to see that your getting into dice :) for me I had issues about 10 minutes into every session I tried on the card where the core would just refuse to clock anymore..... wasn't condensation so probably just something on the gpu getting to cold
I killed my good one before i got some dry ice. It was sad. The one i ran had nothing but but memory voltage mod.
CA glue fixed the handle issue for me. I never had any issue with the connector.
I've got the T3A with the JBC knockoff green handle and it's had zero issues for a year and a half now. it seems those blue handles arent built as well.
Subscribed to see that shunt mod!
Hi there, did you measure the cooler mounting hole space? Id like to adapt a universal waterblock to it. Thanks

@@Asyq thank you!
what is the voltage controller for vcore on your card.
Is that gta heist music in the background? 😂
what in the cooling
Post the results *---------*
Holy hell that is stunning, beautiful work.
Unfortunately mine fell apart too. So guess I glue it together the same as you did. Did the glue fixed it?
It did. But I‘ve since reglued the thing using cyanoacrylate due to its higher temperature tolerance.
Alr, Im gonna try it. Thx (:
Ur vids great btw
Can i ask a question? Please tell me if all the vram chips have the same amount of vram on every graphics card or not
Think about that long and hard for a second. The GTX 980 ti and GTX480 both have 12 memory chips. One has 6gbs of Vram the other 1.5gbs...
@@Vi_OC soo my GTX660 has 4 and has 2 GB of vram and that means for each chip i have 500MB's of vram
@@Vi_OC thanks bro but one small thing, where can you find a memory chip the has like 2GB in it rather than just 500MB👋👋
@@eliassrour759 Many modern GPUs have much higher capacity per chip. Some cards would just stick extra chips on to it rather than use higher capacity. RTX 3090s, GTX 770s 4gbs, certain GTX titan models etc.
Hast du mit der Arc noch andere Erkenntnisse gewinnen können, die nicht im Mainstream zu finden sind?
Yes it is Blue :D
can you repair my gtx 780?
It's glued obviously. Why it's smaller? Simple - to hold it on place during application, or rather after successful stacking, GPU wasn't glued onto PCB at moment of stacking was in some king of holder, so frame is needed to prevent it from being lifted back.
Can it run crysis? :) excellent video, you have a new subscriber from Argentina! ✌️
Plenty of NV43 dies appear to be manufactured like that. Strange that this is the first time someone has pointed it out. Definitely curious to know what it is.
thank you
Great video
Am I wrong in thinking there is a lot more these cards should be capable of? It seems like there is so much more potential just waiting fo proper utilization.
The perfect run!
