Corsair WCE Build-Off - AquaTeak
Переглядів 7205 місяців тому
A few months ago I was browsing Reddit and came across a post on the r/Watercooling subreddit about a Build-Off in collaboration with other Corsair. So I decided to apply and was incredible blessed to have been chosen. Over the next few weeks, I came up with ideas for the build and put together a list of components I required. Not long after I received a huge box full of yellow boxes, and so th...

PC Test Setup
Переглядів 1297 місяців тому
New PC components should be tested, preferably before installing in the case. Especially more so if you intend to do a custom loop. There is nothing worse than spending hours upon hours installing components and bending tubes to perfection to find that you have a faulty CPU or Motherboard. Using stock AMD heatsink here as a temporary solution as it was all I had to hand. New build using these c...

Sweet build! What are you using for all the wood accents, they look like real veneers
Thanks. It’s wood effect vinyl.
I just got this case and I have no idea how to change my Corsair fan colors. Help?
What fans do you have?
@@KoolPCsthe rs120 argb fans, the ones that came in the case. I found out how to change the colors but do they lights stay on all the time? Even when it’s off?
@@aaronr.3032the RS fans plug into the motherboard and will be controlled by your motherboards RGB software.
how exactly do i change the fan color? it doesnt show up in the icue software
RS fans are plugged into the motherboard so iCue won’t see them. You need to use motherboards RGB software
Nice Build! Which product did you use to mount your GPU vertically?
Thanks. It’s a EZDIY-FAB vertical mount from Amazon.
I have a question about fans, Did you connect all the fans in series and to the same socket?
I connected them in 3’s so used 3 PWM headers on the motherboard.
@@KoolPCs Thanks, but wouldn't it be easier to connect them all in series and then on a single header? Or is that not possible?
Easier yes, however 2 reasons you may not want to do that: 1. You may want to run the sets of fans at different speeds. In my example build, I’m running 4 intakes and 3 exhaust, therefore I would want to balance the airflow appropriately. 2. This is the most important consideration, PWM headers have a power rating. My headers support up to 1A, and the RS fans are rated to draw 0.18 A, so I would only be able to get a max of 5 fans pers header.
@@KoolPCs OK I see, thank you
graphics card size?
It’s an Asus Tuf 4080 super. 348.2 x 150 x 72.6 mm
Is the tempared glass fragile like the general budget cases we see on local shops?. Any chance of it getting shattered with a small force?
Unlikely unless you do something stupid like try to build on a tile floor or something
15 bucks for cable management..???
Yeah should have been included as standard.
HI is this Walnut Wood right ?
No, this is the Teak.
Hey how are you which vertical bracket are you using ? Actually I'm thinking to buy this case but I'm worried that will my cooler master v3 will fit or not
You don’t need a vertical bracket for it. The PCI-e slots rotate so all you need is a riser. I have made a full video overview of the case, check it out.
Just the video I was looking for. How are the fans? Sounds like they may be kind of loud when turned up. They don't require icue and can't be controlled (with icue) unless using the separate Corsair commander/controller thing but are there abilities to change the rgb in the motherboard settings? Thanks!
I’m really impressed by the performance of the fans. I have since purchased a 140mm for the bottom intake and moved the 120mm that was there to the back. I have also installed a custom loop (check my shorts or Reddit posts). Correct they can be motherboard controlled for both PWM and RGB but I have switched to a commander pro since switching to watercooling as it’s a lot easier setting fan curves to coolant temp using iCue.
Can you show how you connected the fans, I can get them to turn on but no RGB?
Which fans do you have? These are the RS fans. They connect to each other then finally into the motherboard. You then need to use your motherboard’s RGB software to control them.
Upgraded from a Deepcool CC560, needed a bit more headroom for my AIO. Massive improvements. Only wish there were more USB-C slots in front, but solid case.
I’m stuck between keeping my Corsair 570 or getting this
The 570 is a lovely case, but the 3500x will likely give much better airflow. Depends on your needs really.
Currently looking forward to buying this case. However, I'm just a bit confused on how good the airflow is. How high does the temps goes underload with your build ?
Temps were great in this air cooled build, but the RS120 fans no doubt played a part in that. I have watercooled it now (check my shorts) and am super impressed with the temps. Coolant maxes to around 37° and it’s totally silent.
I have the 5000x and intend to switch to the 3500x. I just need to buy new fans with iCUE LINK because mine are wired, and I believe there's not enough space on the side.
There is plenty of space. More than the 5000, I have used both. Fans I’m using aren’t iCue Link.
I have that case but how do I mount the gpu vertically
Never mind
Hopefully the video helped 😀
is it possible to remove the feet?
Yeah the feet are removable, but the case would then be sitting on the dust filter. If you invert the PSU so it intakes from the case and don’t use the bottom intake fan then you can remove the feet and dust filter.
great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Underrated channel
Thank you. Glad you enjoy my content. ❤️
Great video. more detail than many of the other channels. so easy to follow your build. please film your next build
Thank you. Appreciate the feedback. I’ve done a similar overview of the upcoming Corsair 3500X too.
@@KoolPCs I will look for it
Good reviews for what I am looking for. All angle on the case and the fan much better than most of popular media introducing the products
Really appreciate that, thank you. Glad you found it useful. Still very new to YT and I tried to include things that I would like to know when looking to purchase a product like this.
is putting two fans by the psu shroud worth it? and im debating adding a 140 on the bottom
The gap between the psu and the fan on the bottom would be minimal so you should put a 140
Personally I don’t think it’s worth it. There is very little gap between the PSU and the shroud for air. 140 at the bottom is a better option. I will be putting a 140 in once it’s release. Check my latest Reddit post where I have put a custom loop in the 3500x
@@KoolPCsyea I got a 140 for the bottom too when my case gets here. i was only thinking to add those two so complete the 10 fans. I would like to see your test with those fans on the psu shroud if you thought of doing that?
@@KoolPCsand will do 👍🏿
@@Sanni_VSno can do as I’ve now vertically mounted the GPU block.
Great Video
Thanks mate

Can’t wait to see the final product 🙌🏽
I just uploaded the final video of it today 😀
vertical gpu mount are you kidding me
What do you mean?
@@KoolPCs looks poor not strong than another vertical GPU mount
@@maxsunz3703 it’s exactly the opposite. Proper solid. Also attaches to the motherboard tray so no sagging. Shame that it’s not possible to fit a radiator and fans under it otherwise would have happily used it for my build.
@@KoolPCs and price so expensive than another vertical GPU mount -_-
@@maxsunz3703 Not justifying the price but it does come with a high quality riser cable, is custom made to fit the case and is of high quality itself. I had to use a 3rd part mount which was slightly cheaper but had to trim the PCI slot covers to make it fit.
Love the build, especially the wood motif with mesh!
Thanks. Yeah it’s a great case. Stay tuned for my upcoming build in it. 😃
The thing that's missing is the money in my wallet able to afford a 3090 😂
1080ti and 980ti , where is goats
Never had a 980ti. Used to own a 1080ti that I modded with a 120mm AIO. Sold it when I got the 3090.
@@KoolPCs quite nice upgrade
The 3090 plug is missing.
The 3090 PCB is missing 😀. Using it in another build with a waterblock.
Where the legend of every gpu? The 1080ti?
Sold it a while ago to get the 3090.
OG legend will always be 8800GT back when crysis came out i think.
@@ARUNMANOJ86 have a couple of those in SLI. Good times!
literally either of the two well known good cards from the last 8 years lol
Which are they?
gtx 1080??
Had a 1080ti but sold it 😭
what happened to that 3090 fe lmao
You got it! 😂 it’s currently in use in my PC with a water block on it.
what game are you playing that needs watercooling and fans tell me please
Watercooling is an option, you don’t need to do it. For me it’s a hobby.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. 3090??? With 4080 variants, 4070 Ti variants even as well as 4090 out there??? This has gotta be an old build or old video cuz I just wanted to see this be utilised with up-to-date hardware D:
Yeah it’s my current build. Couple of years old. New one coming very soon.
Wow CPU already at 104degrees/40 Celsius. What’s wrong here.
Nothing is wrong. 40°C at idle is absolutely fine. What matters more in watercooled builds is the coolant temp.
Love it mate. You're definitely building my next PC.
Anytime
Great job!!! Coolant looks awesome!
Thank you. Yeah I loved this build. Another new full build coming soon!
