Im suprised hearing praise for GW tanks, especially the older kits, the baneblade is from 07 and got a slight update in 09. I guess we wargamers are spoiled, compared to the scale modeling crowd. Having said that, i think the baneblade is one of the older kits that really holds up. Back when it was first released it was just so novel to have big tanks on the table, playing games with this behemoth.

THE BANEBLADE!

I find DAS WERK instructions very frustrating at times, too many parts on one diagram, all those arrows drive me gaga.

Have this kit to build. You refer to David. Do you have a link to his information or his Facebook page, it would be most useful, I’m sure.

The engine fans are part of the kit as they are visible and this is one of the things I love about Andy's 1/16 scale kits. He adds the little details others leave out and it really helps the model / end product. I got lucky and snagged three of these kits when they came out and were on sale. Also love your tracks and scarring of the rubber on the tires. I do this also, a little thing we do that I think makes the model pop. Awesome work one builder to another.... Your build and finish work is awesome.

nother near 70 year old here, been on facebook since near inception and ive seen over the years many self important little hitlers pulling the same stunts because you discover say A-E also goes via B,C and D and they dont agree and pull the my way or the highway game, one reason i tend not to get deeply involved and leave them to fester in thier own small minded ways and just pick up hints and tips from others as i go, if the page folds theres always others to join and you find many times its the guys n gals with good advice are on those other pages, ive not long joined a none modelling group and ive had admins trying to give me grief because one im not active in the chat and also dont post consistantly , i have a life outside of `farcebook` and some days read messages from friends and dont bother with it, im busy with something else, i have a simple answer to thier moaning - bin me then , quite simple, i wont loose an arm or a leg :) stick to YOUR guns and do what suits you

I was very disappointed with this model. Clearly the suspension was the focus. Sadly, the pins that made it all connect were too short. The rest of the model was adequate. So much detail for things you'll never see. I was excited for this model but, it was disappointing. A lot of minute detail that will never be seen. Not what I expected from Das Werk. I was disappointed

Beautiful work mate. I intend to get my first 251 this week and get cracking. I say first cos I intend to build a couple. One as is out of the box and convert the other into the ambulance version. Basically painting it white from the Drivers compartment, adding a few red crosses and covering the back with a tarp. Watching this series of vids has been invaluable for spotting pitfalls and the like so thanks for them. Happy building may friend....

Good modelers highlight unique features in a vehicle. You are spot on deciding to show the vehicle in a turn as that is a unique feature for the PUMA. Nice to hear that you follow AHHQ, he's been doing some nice stuff

I just received my "PUMA". This video has been helpful in pointing out the areas of concern during the build

Tie rods?

I don't understand das werk. They make really weird and odd mistakes. The tires are wrong. Pumas used civilian pattern wheels and theirs has military. The fuel cans are odd. It might not be too obvious to most but it just sticks out like a sore thumb to me. I know David Parker from AFV has some really cool resin extras. Like a commanders hatch, muzzle break, different types of tires, and corrected fuel cans and brackets. He also did a couple brackets without fuel cans in them. As to your issue with the undercarriage? Glue it all in place. Lol. Yes. I'm a stick in the mud sometimes. Lol. But sometimes the best answer is Tamiya extra thin. Keep plugging away on it. Definitely making progress.
