2014 Altima code came up for maf sensor replaced it but it still won’t stay on
and did the same code came back? If it is, i would 2x check wirings, also having a scantool on hand will allow you to watch the values of MAF in the data lists. Base on the reading will help you determine if it is reading or not. A faul code that stays on righy after erasing it means it is a wiring issue or faulty ECM.
The check engine light stayed on, wasn’t able to drive it because the car wouldn’t stay on, battery light came on too. I’ll Check the code again. Thank you for responding
Saved me hundreds of dlls. I wss going crazy already. Thanks this fixd my problem
Im glad it helped you.
Smart way to diagnose without tearing out the trans first. Good one
Yes, when in doubt, confirm it before removing
@DRBauto, do you have any video on 2017-2018 Volkswagen Tiguan to remove the transmission lines to do a complete transmission flush?
i do not have any. I dont usually flush trans fluid on these cars because most of them are lifetime fluid. I do drain and refill most of the time on newer model cars. If pan is available, i take it out catch all fluids and put same amount back in if there are no leaks occured prior. Removing lines for trans flush requires a machine to perform the service. Some quick connect trans lines on most european cars can be remove using a fuel line disconnecting tool.
Es una mierda
Thanks brother, you helped a lot. 👍
I am happy to help!
remove the fuel line and carb
It is worth trying. But if you are going in there and u feel like its a bit of a challenge, just replace it but still clean it.
When you disconnected the trans lines did it leak transmission fluid, and how did you disconnect the quick connects?
Not this one because the fluid have leaked out already when brought to the shop.
I cant remember how i did it :) But i am sure i struggled a bit not having the correct tool
Excellent instructional troubleshooting with the smoke machine
Glad you found it helpful!
Hey what's up man. I know this is an old video but you said something about fuel trims. So my car is tuned and you're saying off throttle if I have negative fuel trim and then get into throttle and the trim goes to the positive its likely a boost leak or If the value continues to go negative?
Yes, the fuel trims going positive under throttle and negative off-throttle could indicate a boost leak, but it is important to check other possibilities too. Simplest example for system too lean is this, if i open throttle slowly and watch my fuel trims, if it goes to 0 then it is an indication of a vacuum leak. If the lean values gets worst as i open throttle then it is a fuel issue.
Do this. When you redo the engine, switch to Schaeffers full synthetc oil or Lubrication Engineers full synthetic oil. You will not regret it.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely consider it.
@DRBauto I've run Schaeffers in all my fleet vehicles and the engines are immaculate on the inside. The oil exceeds the Dexos spec that GM has, and is blended with a lot of moly. They have been around since the 1800's. Lubrication Engineers has an additive called Monolec that bonds with the metal, improving wear and reducing friction. Either company will not let you down.
So how much does it cost to replace the pcm
the best and cheapest for the actual PCM is ranging from $300-500. It will be by sending your PCM to any company online that rebuilds auto PCM's. A auto shop will charge you maybe $800-1200, depending on the type of problem you had, since they will charge you for diagnosing the problem.
Whats the piece call.
which one? you meant the exhaust Cam Gear/Actuator
P0191 is typically a high pressure side code though right?
You know u are correct. I actually posted the video before actually did the repair. But the sensor before high presure was actually bad and needed replacement also. So when u get codes like this, most of the time it is the HP pump, but dont get to excited :) 2x check it all. I am saying this because it kicked me back :), better yet, check actual pressure then recommend both pressure sensor and the HP pump. While injectors are exposed do a cylinder balance test. this can really guarantee the work and diagnostics.
Thank you
I am happy to help

Question: What reading did the Power Probe show at 1:35 (video is out of focus), and what did the constant ticking sound mean?
static/ripple sound. Not really worried about it since it is not connected to anything unless u turn the ignition to start/crank position. Now if the sound is solid pithch either high or low before turning it on, then check the LED if its red or green, this will indicate that the component is short to power or ground.
😅it’s dam tight and hard to get it out
it sure is
happened to me on my m35 , front differential go bye bye
Really wierd. But i think there is already a noise happening but they just did not pay attention until this happen.
Do you think it’ll be the same thing on a 2002 Honda accord?
I dont think its the same. But it is really accesible that u can reach the ignition wire and jump it. Both V6 and 4 Cylinder are easily accesible.
Thanks for the great information! I'm battling this issue right now "small evac leak". It's now our 2010 Liberty sport 3.7 so I bought a new gas cap but I drilled a small hole in the to so I could reinstall the teather but now the dash reads "gascap". Should I order a cap from the dealer that has the hole isolated from the rest of the cap? Auto Zone said this is the correct cap for my Jeep.
Buy a gas cap and do not drill any holes. If ur code is for small evap leak check that part that i replace and do the same, they are common issue. The next thing to do if it is still throwing fault code of the same issue, is to perform a smoke test to find an actual leak.
Thanks for sharing this!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Here’s why Volvo did it. It’s because Volvo wanted a more durable transmission in the car and wanted it to be FWD, so they had to do it in order to keep the inline six engine. They also used a gear drive combined with a timing chain to reduce the chance of expensive timing chain failures because they saw Audi experiencing the timing chain failures on their cars. The older inline six was originally designed for RWD cars but when Volvo decided that FWD was the future, they made a huge mistake by using a GM 4T65 in a turbocharged inline 6 transverse layout that resulted in catastrophic transmission failures because they had too much torque. The LS4 W Body GM cars had similar transmission failures due to the torque of the engine and I wish GM would have modified the bell housing on the 4T80 instead and used the LS4 in the Cadillacs to replace the Cadillac Northstar V8 instead.
wow, that is great info. Thanks
You saved my brother hundreds!!!! Car was would not stay running and I went over there just before the Tow Truck. He had a mouse nest in the Air filer compartment and his Mass Air Sensor was full of crap. After cleaning it out and spraying it down with cleaner car ran like a top! Thanks so much as this video was a life saver!
Its always nice to start with the simple things before replacing parts.
As soon as I saw you wearing a mask you lost all credibility with me.
Sorry, this was during early pandemic time and the company i worked for mandated that we wear one all the time.
Very nice explanation and information
Thank you
I got a 08 liberty and jad the same codes. Big and small evap leak. Found that the pcv hose fittings had huge holes causing a vaccum leak. Still wont start though. Im thinking its the fuel pump? Gonna check the part you just showed to see if theres an issue there.
1st thing i would do is to find out why the car is not starting. Then i will diagnose the evap leak. Even a huge vacuum leak will not cause a no start condition. It may stall or not idle but will start, so 1st thing i would do is find out why it is not starting. Check all that is in the fuel system, pressure and fuel condition check for spark and check if it is sucking air tru the throttle.
💯✔
How did you plug it in into the hose? I have a 2005 highlander 4cyl. Base model. Check engine light on, VSC and trac off. I even remove booster brake check valve and seems ok i felt a little air coming out but not ruling out valve and other leaks. I uses the cigar method, and a pump on other hoses except the one you showed.
U need to use a smoke machine, it will be really hard with cigar method :)
nice video thank you ..I have been trying to understand the fault in my Honda Accord 8 Euro 2.0 2011 model vehicle for a week. I removed the starter motor intact and checked it outside by connecting it to the external battery. However, when the key is turned, the starter relay in the box under the steering wheel makes a zzzzz sound and the car does not start. It cannot be reached through ODB after many attempts. When I access it, it gives error P2610.
Glad it helped. But this fault code seems like a PCM problem. Something is not communicating properly, either it needs to be updated by the dealer or its a bad PCM.
These ecoboost motors are garbage. Probly one of the worst designs ever.
he he he, you said it :) :) :)
The motor it self is so good but the pump location yes atought if you take care of the antifreeze changed as the manual recommend this could help to avoid premature failure also we need to put attention to any leak
@@thechampion9525 fords are garbage, im not complaining cause i make a damn good living fixing them but their engineers are absolute morons.
@@boostbeast8731 well yea if you compare them to Honda's or Toyotas but Americans cars are reliable if you take good care of them most people drive them like maniacs I have a 2010 dodge charger they all well know to have lot of issues but I take care of the car and have zero issues
Great video but it would be better if you held the cam /phone landscape not portrait .
It was totally a rookie mistake. Im still a rookie but i know now how to use landscape and portrait :)
Don't apologize for wearing the mandatory safety mask! We all went through COVID. Been there done that! Thanks for the great video!

Thank you so much for the info I have a Jeep Liberty 2012 and have the same issue and I just went and looked and the hoses are cracked I will replace them in the morning. Once again thanks!

My dash battery came on, n my car stared to lose power in the freeway n started jumping a bit, all other lights came on, i pull over turn it back on n i just made it to auto zone, n my car died, they check battery n alternator they said it was good, but after they charged the battery i drove home n it did it again, its a 08 honda accord v6 plz help me man im having the worst of times
Alternator can have intermittent problem when its about to go bad. What is the last thing done to the car? Did maybe battery or alternato connectors removed during the work and was not reconnected securely. Double check them and a good wiggle test connectors and cables on those 2 components. Aything loose can cause the problem. What year and model is the car by the way

So if the serpentine belt is on the driver's side: what the heck is squeaking in the passengers side of my S80 (V8 version)? Only looked up how to get to the belt because independent shop seems reluctant to look at it.
It could be a suspension issue that u are having. Strut mounts, sway bar end links, ball joints and sometumes even tie rod ends.
@@DRBauto Tech told me that the belt is actually on the passenger side for the 8 Cylinder model. Noise was coming from water pump area. There is a small coolant leak: so it may be failing. More concerning is a much faster oil leak. Tech tried the "easy thing" (not much disassembly required) and replaced the oil filer and O-ring (did not fully fix problem).
U can reach underneath from drivers side. Ive done it twice now.
Thanks for the info, i did managed to replace it and u are correct of the location, injured elbow is just making it hard for me to reach down :) I had this car during pandemic time and I apologize for the mask, we are required to wear them when inside the shop. But your comment will be great for others that might ran into this.
It'd be murder with that elbow. As anything/first time seemed impossible. I REALLY HAD MY DOUBTS.
