Super gaaf gemaakt!
My basic initial comparison with a still camera show me it does have fuzziness at the periphery but I wasn't expecting perfection. Here's the reasoning: Sometimes I get requests to take photos I call snapshots (one time opportunity, not pre-arranged, poor settings out of my control). For example I plan to take pictures of a band or of artwork, indoors and outdoors.That's what I am packed and ready for weekly. But next thing I hear is the owner of the place asking me to take a group photo. What??? Not part of the plan. They gather too many people to fit in the frame, no room to back up, and they are not going to stick around while we (meaning I) find better conditions. Any picture of them will be better than nothing. These usually end up on Facebook for a few days and then they're forgotten. So I got a HD-6600 because one at my lens thread size was on Ebay for $34 still in the original box and reviews were steering me in the direction of Raynox. For $150 or over I would hesitate. Put that money towards some more frequently required accessory.
It is a great lens, but the optical stabilization of the camera also throws a spanner in the works. Black corners appear when you film hand-held. But on a tripod you can use it well for your establishment shot for instance.
