Miami Dolphins: Dick Anderson Interception -1971 AFC Championship Game
Переглядів 19 тис.6 років тому
What I consider the greatest play in Miami Dolphins history...this TD return off a tipped Johnny Unitas pass helped put the team into their first Super Bowl. Anderson is aided by spectacular blocking on his way to the end zone... As called by legendary Dolphins radio announcer Rick Weaver.

"Rocky & Bullwinkle" Voice-Recording Outtakes
Переглядів 104 тис.12 років тому
Here's something I hope you'll really like!...Outtakes from a recording session for the 1963 "Rocky & Bullwinkle" episode "The Weather Lady". You'll hear William Conrad, Paul Frees, June Foray and Bill Scott break up, get on each others nerves, and engage in some politically-incorrect humor. Also note the raw recording of the theme without sound-effects. For all those asking, I came across this...

Bullwinkle ran on NBC from 1981 to some time in 1982 after running in syndication and continued to syndication concurrent to its NBC run during the same time.
Can people hear Jay Ward's voice
Such nice mistakes that are so nice to hear. 👍👏 Laughter from all people, there.
Poetry in motion.....truly.
Paul frees normal speaking voice sounds like Humphrey Bogart and orson Wells combined
Episode arcs recorded: 0:25 - 1:33 Bullwinkle's Testimonial Dinner 1:34 - 6:08 The Weather Lady 6:09 - 10:26 Wossamotta U 10:27 - 12:35 Louse on 92nd Street 12:36 - 14:04 Wossamotta U (again) 14:05 - 15:56 Louse on 92nd Street (again)
I like how this recording session is like friends basically messing up their lines and cracking each other up and plus all the voice actors were radio actors with years of experience
dang. I'm late to this obviously but this was stunning. Wished they might as well continued on to "Gee" then "Heroes and Villains" and we'd be off and running haha
This is pretty cool to hear 😂. Love this show
Featuring bob conrad.
Still beautiful
Dude had no clue what to even do with a move like that
June Foray flubbing??!!! Heavens! Conrad laughing! This is wonderful!
It breaks my heart that Bill Conrad thought so little of work in these - he was really a vital member of the ensemble. His voice, as the Narrator, lent gravitas and credibility to the story, and as time went on, the Narrator's interaction with the other characters really drew them together into a unit.
I know that Bill Conrad was Cannon. But, it's hard to believe that he is the high pitch narrator.
That shows his range as an actor
Honestly, I know Bill Conrad, more as the narrator Rocky, and Bullwinkle then Cannon
Brilliant 👏 👏
The reason I became a Miami Dolphins fan. I met him at a barber shop with my dad when I was 8 years old in Cleveland Ohio. Warfield is from Ohio as well.
Wow
6:16 Today's mentality.
This is absolute gold! It must have been a laugh riot making Rocky and Bullwinkle. Those folks were getting paid to have all that fun too.
13:25 Woooow I thought he said "Frost my balls" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!! Man they were having fun doing this!!
I used to watch Rocky and Bullwinkle when I was a baby. I'm 13 now.
Booorrrring
Youuuuuu
I can do all these voices. I don't know if it was 4 years doing it on radio, or doing it at Jewish parties. I can believe the race jokes, But, knowing the actors histories, they were not spitting venom, they were just not being inconsiderate, because they did not think their words would be heard because of editing. So, I will give them a pass, especially since they are dead. "You don't dig a dead man up, just to spit in his face." Brother James Kendall Moore OSB (OFS OSC)
I didn't know the announcer was William Conrad. He's a hoot.
Yeah! Bill Conrad was a SCREAM! But then, weren’t they ALL!!? 😊But a “pasta phenom”? Sheesh! And when you hear Bill Scott “slate” the episodes (that’s when he says which episode they’re doing, before they start in on doing one… that was for the Editor), it’s actually when some of the silliest gags in these recordings happened! BUT… You may notice that you hear little snippets of words in the middle of nowhere. That’s because the REAL Executive Co-Producer, Jay Ward (“Ponsonby Britt, O.B.E., [Order of the British Empire]”, which you see in the show’s end credits, as well as on “Hoppity Hooper”, “Fractured Flickers”, and the ORIGINAL “George of the Jungle” series, was a MADE-UP NAME!). Anyway, Jay was too “thrifty” to buy enough Mastering Tape to be able to save ALL the out-takes! If an episode ran too long, they would just rewind the tape, and record OVER the episode they couldn’t use, erasing the previous attempt(s). So in reality, the “take” numbers would just be started over from “Take 1”. Therefore, LOTS of exceptionally funny ad-libs are gone forever, and the loss is OURS. These shows were generally recorded in the evening. The cast would gather at the recording studio, they’d get a couple of episodes finished, then everyone would go out for dinner and drinks somewhere. Afterwards, they’d come back to the studio and finish whatever else had to be done that day. So when Paul Frees makes a crack about June being drunk, Frees didn’t just make that up out of thin air. They’d ALL had a few before the second part of the session. And on THIS day, June had another recording session, for some other show or commercial, scheduled AFTER this session. Incidentally, at the beginning, you’ll hear Mr. Scott make reference to someone named “Buddy Green”. That was really Paul Frees, who used that name early. In his career, when he was a stand-up comic at hotels in the Catskills. Many people who became famous later, started that way, including the great Mel Brooks!
15 minutes of outtakes for a 3 hour session isn't bad.
Man, Bill Conrad had an amazing range.
Paul pretending to be the straight man of the group while winding everyone up gets me every time 😂
He’s the consummate, professional, he took everything he did seriously even for silly cartoon like this
WHERE DID YOU GET THIS? 😲

So nobody is gonna talk about the racist banter? Ight lol
Plenty of people have mentioned it, including me in the description of the clip.
You didint say it was racist.
@@user-kc1sy1km9y What's it to you?
@@spencerfrankclayton4348 nada
Yeah, no one is going to complain about a group of white people making a off-colored pun based on a racial slur in the fucking 1960s. And even then it wasn't racist, it was an on the spot pun made from a flub of a line.
. Yes, I realize this was a much younger William Conrad, and Yes I realize that he was purposely speaking in a frenetic and higher-pitched tone for these voice-overs, but just listen to his voice in something like this as a point of comparison: ua-cam.com/video/b8vXbsvxWCc/v-deo.html VERY hard to believe that's the same guy !! Simply AMAZING what these 'artists' were able to do with their voices !! Thanks VERY much for posting this STUNNING gem of "lost" history !! .
15:51 CALM DOWN!
6:38 Foray: Bullwinkle, you know who these fellas... (gets distracted) I'm sorry. I thought I heard something. (continues) Bullwinkle, you know who these fellas are? Conrad: And another... Scott: You thought you... Conrad: And another flock just went by. Scott: You thought you heard something?! Foray: I'm sorry! I thought I heard somebody talking! Excuse me! Frees: I heard something. Scott: Shall we go on? Foray: You did, didn't you, Paul? Frees: That's no comfort to you. Scott: Say your line again, Rocky! Conrad: Say your line again.
3:36 Frees: From the sound of Bill Conrad, I would say we're dealing kids. They gotta get home before night, or something. Scott: Those shorts are strangling him to death.
Of course, Paul would say that because he and Bill worked together on radio for years
15:48 Frees: Take the whole thing back. (Scott, Foray and Frees talking all at once) Conrad: You just stay out of this! You go over on your fucking side and you stay there! I don't want any shit outta you tonight. Understand? Now, get over there.
one thing’s for sure Conrad ain’t takin bullshit for an answer… whatever that bs was
Bill Conrad had the mouth of a sailor when he wasn't narrating.
14:56 Conrad: No one can ever say that our last episode was a total loss, for, as you remember, we learned beyond - I'm a son of a bitch!
1:10 Conrad: Well, you just don't gallivant about the deck of a sinking junk and don't lose your footing! Scott: Not. Frees: "and don't lose your footing"? Scott: And NOT lose your footing. Frees: I'll do the dialects! Conrad: Alright.
Conrad: Well, you just don't galavant about the deck of a sinking junk and don't lose your footing! Frees: *_WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOA_* Conrad: Seconds later everyone was stroking for the mainland!
IT is life's outtakes, that you can finally share with industry outsiders (read the world) that are sometimes more memorable than than that highly polished finished product the world swoons over! These underpinnings of errors buttress up that masterpiece that THEY see. Having spent some years in the company of some very unusual people in the industry, I can vouch for that!
7:13 I've got a write-in, baby. If you were sober, you'd know that.
3:07 Why don't you wear larger Jockey shorts?
I remember. Best team blocking after an interception ever!
Where did these come from? And are there more recording sessions out there??
I found this years ago on a Jay Ward archive website that has long since disappeared...that's all I recall. I have spent hours trying to locate it again.
Thanks for posting. I remember that run well, particularly the great blocking.
Rocky and Bullwinkle was for adults. Honestly!
Of course the cast break up a lot on this show. You have one of the great adlibbers in the business voicing the bad guys! According to June Foray, they would sit around the table, and they would often yell "Shut up, Paul!"
I'm not sure if the "jiggernaut" crack will go down well these days! Haha.
I literally facepalmed when they casually joked about how it sounded like a "colored astronaut" and "jigronaut". Oooh...the 60's! *Shakes head*
@@Trance88 it was the time period
Was at this game with my dad and brothers. In all of the home OB GAMES I ever saw I NEVER heard the old OB louder after this play. Thought the place would fall down SEVEN PERFECT BLOCKS!!!!
Happy birthday Mr. Warfield!
What made this play so great was the amount of perfect blocks that were thrown which enabled him to return it all the way for the touchdown.
