Wind Triangle and Dead Reckoning Private Pilot Lesson for Navigation and Flight Planning
Переглядів 995 місяців тому
Chief Pilot Sean Rady discusses wind triangles, dead reckoning, cruise performance charts, and how they all play into creating a great navlog. Some math edifications as in the video I made "approximations": 84NM/64NM is 1.3 hrs, not 1.2. And 1.3 hrs at 4.9gph is 6.3 gals used. That's what I get for trying to do quick math in my head! I hope you still get the point. Thanks for watching!

1977 Cessna 150M New Engine Tour and Walk Around (training aid for student pilots)

I recommend changing the quality to HD for this video! I made this video to help student pilots see what’s underneath the cowling of a common trainer plane, the Cessna 150. What better way to give a tour than after a fresh overhaul! Hope you enjoy.

awesome find! I bought 2x 1996 king quad 300's as fixer uppers and I love them. Yours might need a carb clean up. They usually start right up even in cold weather, or maybe charge battery? electric crank sounds a bit weak. Enjoy mate!
Dirty dog
hardware? what kind of slides are these?
Just sell the boat
haha, going on the market this week.
Wheres video #2?
I just did a build with similar components but in a different manner. Was needing a slide out mainly for hauling RC Planes so I covered a single sheet in the Loop side of hook and loop and use narrow strips of the hook side to strap my planes to it. I put the same ball bearings on the bottom of the same sheet that rolls in the grooves of the bed right on my Line X and I'm utilizing conduit legs after pulling it out that fit into sockets screwed into cast iron floor flanges on the bottom corners. I considered purchasing 60" drawer slides and using those instead, but those are $134 for a pair. Still may do that in the future but after getting this completed today I like it for now, works well. So basically it's half of the components you have here and using the bearing on the sheet that slides. The benefit in your design is you don't have to bother with the legs but it is more weight and harder to remove. Thanks for sharing, one of the reasons UA-cam is so great. Many from all over being able to share ideas of a topic!
What screws did you use to bolt down the bottom plywood to the bed
I did not secure the wood to the bed but other comments and builders have done that.
1.8 gallons an hour and 1.8 liter oil change and 16 gallons tank it’s better to convert to natural gas
was that 2ga wire adequate for your winch?
Could you tell me how long the tiller is from the transom to the end of tiller?
Wouldn't one piece of plywood with wheels underneath work? One less.piece of wood, lighter and less expensive... i am going to try that first, otherwise this would be great....thanks
Just had one fitted never was aware you lose your rear vision electronic mirror and tub camera? Now totally useless I had expected a canopy made especially for Silverado would have taken this into account?? In Australia they cost $7300 must admit very disappointing, they seem perfect in other respects but to lose those features??? If I had been advised before ordering I may have looked for something else?
I wanted to see the set up😮
Another YT Channel soaked a piece of this Mohawk Wood Laminate flooring in water, for 4 days, with zero difference in the thickness, afterwards! Amazing!
I bought 10 boxes of the Costco Mohawk Wood Laminate flooring for $9.99 per box, back in Sept 2023, on clearance! sweeeet!
How did you secure bottom peice to bed?
Only secured by gravity. Other builds do have a securing device, I do not.
Great video. It shows it can be done and then there is opportunities for others to get creative and make their own improvements etc. For me i was thinking just some low profile rubber grommets would help keep the wood off the bed and create a friction for no no drilling and lastly even just for sound dampening. Great vid. Nice and short and sweet for the ADD lol
Hows it held up 2 years later?
good video. slide seems hard to pull out ... worried about how hard it will be when I have my handyman kit loaded up.
I just got mine delivered, I also am replacing a Yamaha 9.9 which I had replaced the reedvalves and converted it into a 15hp, and I don't think that it'll be as fast as the Yamaha but it should be fast enough. I really want something quieter, and hopefully as dependable as the old 9.9 Yamaha
A dose of reality. Thanks for this. I would not have put up with that dent on top, even though out of sight I'd know it's always there. Very frustrating. And I hope it doesn't contribute to any water leaks seeing how close it is to a seam. But it is a beautiful looking cap. One observation, I really like this cap against the white color, that contrast gives the impression of the shape of the underlying pickup rather than just have it all blend together and losing the sense of the shape of a pickup bed without anything on it. Observation. I've seen other videos where they could open the tailgate with the rear SmartCap door closed, so not sure why that is happening to you, maybe it happens with Chevy pickups but not others, or maybe something about how it was installed on yours.
what oil did you use for break in...90% of the marine mechs ive talked to says to use 100% conventional with NO synthetic properties to break it in
Any issues with this motor ever?
No, it’s been a great engine.
The fit on that generation of GM trucks is just horrendous. They should be ashamed.
Can you provide the link to the build definitely gonna do it . Thank you
Lol I did this last year. I didn’t know people were doing this on UA-cam. Anyways, if you don’t put something on the bottom of the slide, the rollers will eat into the wood if you load it regularly. I use it for my work tools until it wouldn’t work anymore.
I wonder if adding a thin sheet of aluminum underneath would fix that
Learning the 1979 152 at work this help a lot for someone with out any experience great visual
What color is this
Amsoil metal protector HD... I spray EVERYTHING with it. Lawn mower...toolls...undercarriage of all my cars...bikes....toolboxes..trailers ect.
This flooring is BY FAR THE MOST DIFFICULT flooring to install! If you do choose to go w it, use seperate underlayment as well and coat the entire floor w liquid polyurethane or it will become damaged quickly
to many moving parts
Very informative
Can you show how you trimmed out the open return on your bottom steps
Very clear explanations
Great presentation, Sean Rady!
So how is it holding up? Did you try to mop it with water?
Very well, I'm super pleased with this flooring. I have a Bissell wet mop vaccum cleaner and it gets the grime and dirt off these floors very nicely without damaging or overwatering them.
Love it
Gorgeous car
Do you really need two people? Because it seems like if I start it on top of the picnic table and pull the roof poles out from there one at a time, I wouldn't need two people. I'm a widow and my son is 7 so he's just getting to where he's a help and not just something else I have to manage to get us outside.
Good job on giving due credit! I respect that!
How do you know? Could be the 737-600
That’s a320 not a 737
Can you unlock up to 30 KM? I see that they have the same capacity and different parameters. the difference is that 25 km reaches 6,000 rpm and 30 km reaches 6,300 rpm
That's not affecting fuel mileage, it's a truck
That would be 5 hours
Did you get him back ?
Yes at the end of the video he's right there next to me.
Correction at 2:40- *Intake-Compression-Power-Exhaust*
Sean I have looked online, looks like this harness like you used is about 100 bucks. is that about right? I want to get the best deal I can. I used a similar one on my 2000 silverado back around 2000 when I first bought it new. Local walmart actually had the harness similar at the time. But now, I don't know if they still carry those kinds of things.
I'm not sure my smart cap came with one, I didn't have to purchase it.
Thanks for the info. I saw 2 videos before yours. ARE has like a 13 foot harnes which would be expensive and a pain to run along the frame to under the hood. LEER Had a very similar t harness like you are showing which would certainly be the easier to deal with for sure and so, thats the way I'm going to go. Thanks.!
Nice video! we need more please.
