And still every bite the "Songstress"!🤗😎👏
Wow!!!! Thanx for posting this one. My favorite chick singer, and this band was an awesome line-up!!!. Back when real musicians actually played real music, no lip singin, or overdubbed bullshit!!!!!
I beg you to send this to me
12:05 I wonder if Emmett Otters jug band Xmas bad dude rock band was based off this. When you go look it up, I think the bear is on the keyboard with sunglasses and a gap in his front tooth
Musicians those era were talent.
Very talent
Thanks for sharing these wonderful bands. They don’t make them like that any more.
Always love this party band. Big Time band. Thanks!
Voluptuous, sultry, gorgeous. And that powerful voice. 100% natural. True talent. Need I say more?
Let me tell you how much I hated Foster. He was a thief and a girlfriend kidnapper. He took many a girl away from dudes who had love interests almost ready to become a couple and BOOM this cam on the air and we were done. Mine actually had the nerve to ask me to get a blowout to make my fro bigger. I was like wait a second.....its already big and she said....not like fosters. I was like, who the hell is Foster?
Ok, what song are you talking about?
What a powerful singing voice!💞
Ok if you say so.
Love the Staple Singers and "Let's Do It Again" but it kind of Creeps me out listening to the words of "PoP' Staples singing his words. Why? That's his daughter leading the song?
He's not singing 2 her, he's singing with her. His part of the song👈
@@smariebryant70 Ok if you say so
@@grosskopf2779 Any different than Jermaine Jackson singing his part of a song in the Jackson 5🤷♀
Rufus and the gorgeous CHAKA KHAN! WOW! Loved this!!!!
The O'Jays were such a good group with two great singers. "For the Love of Money" had a nice bass beat and "Climbing the Stairway to Heaven" made anyone who wasn't in love want love. Just like Earth, Wind, & Fire had two lead songers too. Maurice White and Philip Bailey. Btw, I saw a show with Earth, Wind, & Fire and, the O'Jays, and Natalie Cole at the Charlotte Coliseum in the 70's. E, W, & F did something that made everyone on tge floor lean back from the stage to the back. I was there on the floor with my Moroccos shaking it and dancing my tail off with them and went to the seat I paid for when tgey finished their set. I had a ball and will never firget that show!!!
Peabo Bryson can sing his butt off. I miss this music and play it on UA-cam every chance I get.
I saw Ohio Players up, close, and personal at one of my college homecomings. They were such a good group with so many hits like "Skin Tight" and "Fire" to name a few.
That was a big voice on such a short little sexy mama!!! She had that Indian look down. I still like my headbands and arm bracelets too bc it loʻked good then and it looks good now. Everybody was wearing those mid drift tops showing their small flat stomach and tight waists. It was a great time to be young and alive. Nobody was doing that wild west stuff but showing love, brotherhood, peace, and being mellow on the herb.
Don't mind me, just enjoying some flashback. 📻🎶🎶
48:12 Get on the good foot!! YESS They all got way down Y'all!

Gods gift to us. A goddess!
We saw Peabo in concert about 15 years ago. Amazing!
When Mavis says "I'm not a girl to linger, but I feel like a Butterfinger, I want to do it again". What do you think she's talking about? 😅
Now, this is when it's really okay to go back. Reminiscing. No harm, no foul. 👍

I Didn’t Know He Passed on That Alembic Bass is All Hand Made The Electronics Are All low Impedance Every Single Alembic Bass Is a One of a Kind There Was This One Black Dude That Was The Bass Player For This Band Called Detective in The Mid 1970’s The Band Was Rock Yet He Played a Funk Style and He Also Played a Alembic Bass His Name Was Bobby Picket Not The Monster Mash Guy Yet His Name Was Bobby Picket He Had a Amazing Sound in a Band With White Guys
From Bill Graham to Bootys Collins Standly Clark We Think of Bass String Plucking Yet Violin 🎻 Players Also Use a Technique Called Pizzicato Which is Plucking of The Strings and What is a Bass a 4 String Upright Bass is What Leo Fender Created When He Invented The Electric Bass Guitar 🎸 So Plucking of The Violin 🎻 Strings Was Done During The Classics
okay now during the Staple Singers Respect Yourself when they gave the band solo's how dope was it to hear the ghetto by donny hathaway on them keys followed by the bass player rockin herbie's chameleon for a few? Sooo much great talent. love the name too "the staple swingers".
Donna Summer looked so relaxed singing those songs ... 😮 so freakin effortless...
Anybody know who the guitarist, bassist and drummer is in this video ? Everything is incredible here.
