I love your scottish accent...🤣
@@cmanstaines my Birmingham one is much better 😂😂
Neist Point is on the west of Skye and Raasay is on the east. You def can't see Applecross from Neist Point. Sorry.
@@appaketa yep. Thought I was talking about Kilt Rock. I’m blaming it on being distracted while filming. Thanks for watching. Off to check my map again 😂😂😂
@@glencoephotography1 Enjoy your videos, love Glencoe. Back in December for another wee visit.
Thank you for sharing your awesome content.
You had so much better light a Neist Point than I had. Did you happen to find a pair of glasses there? Great images! If anyone has the opportunity to book with Karl I highly recommend it. You will not only get great photo but a bit of a history lesson, great conversation and an incredible time. I love what Karl helped me get.
love that Joshua. Yep we were very lucky but the wind. Thanks for the plug.
Loved that image of Kilt rock 👍 Great video Karl. Just a couple of weeks before I'm back up in the Geln but I'm now planning a return trip to Skye next year 🙂
See you in the next one! :)
Great video Carl. Some fantastic images and the Talisker Bay shots do indeed look like Iceland. Not sure you can see Applecross and Torridon from Neist Point though, I think you'd need to be on the east coast of Skye for that 😉.
@@andrewbriggs1962 yep. Bit of a mistake there. I m thought I was still at Kilt Rock. 🤪🤪 Thanks for watching. Just off to get a map!!!
@glencoephotography1 🤣🤣🤣
Karl, thanks so much for publishing these works for us to enjoy. In January of this year I signed up for an opportunity to have a workshop in Skye in mid October. In my 55 years, I've never really been outside the U.S. and I jumped on this opportunity. I've been following you for about a year now and started to research everything about Skye and Glencoe as well, I did my own extended time for an additional week in Glencoe. Now just one week back from a week at each location: Skye, Glencoe, and an additional week in Ireland, I can honestly say, that was the most magical experience. Both personally and for my photography. All the locations you mention in this video, by happenstance, I had my Lightroom collection open in the background, and with each scene, it just brought me back to that truly magical place. I have a feeling that someday I will definitely be back. Thank you so much again, and yes, your Glencoe video's as well, guiding me for my visit there.
@@MarkSmithPdx thanks Mark . What a great story. Both Glencoe and Skye are truly inspiring and I am so pleased you got to experience them. Food for the soul indeed. Thanks for watching.
Nice images and really helpful thanks, am just in the process of booking a week in Skye for January 👍
@@runninblue9415 enjoy Skye. Hopefully you get some snow caped mountains.
Thanks for the videos keep them coming, very enjoyable and informative. Your friendly helpful approach has helped me to improve my photography
Hi Karl great video, i know its a year old but just watched it. been to all the locations years ago apart from Loch urr. One stunning location along the Etive road is at these cords 56.619055, -4.925220. Climb the fence and its a bit of a scramble down to the pool below.
@@PaulMessenger thanks for the heads up. I will definitely check that spot out next time I’m out on my own. I do love finding a new location, so cheers
Nice to say hi to you today Karl. Food and coffee was superb… I’m back in the Glen in a month’s time so I’ll call in again for some more refuelling. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@garrysugdenphotography Yep great to meet you in my cafe today. Glad u liked the coffee. I hope you got some shots and I have sub to ur channel so looking forward to a video from Glencoe soon. All the best and hopefully bump into again next month.
Really enjoyed the video and very useful too as I am currently in Glencoe! You might have mentioned that the cascades in the Allt a'Bhiorain that flows under the bridge just by Gualachulain bothy is a good (and easy) subject to photograph too.
Four amazing shots! Thanks for the vid!
Great video and beautiful photography. Sunrise is too early for wee Fern tho :)
Another great video, Karl. Glad to have caught up with you in person on location at everyone’s favorite spot - the colours were amazing. My wife and I were also tickled to be featured in your drone shot as we trekked along the river after chasing additional locations. Best, Warrick
@@warricksmith5178 thanks for that. You made some good models to add a bit of scale to the footage. 😂😂
Fabulous as always, Karl
Just had a great few days in Glencoe myself earlier this week, some lovely light and a big thanks for your channel, it’s been invaluable…also used it for the last few days here in Assynt although conditions up here have been a fair bit more challenging, great place though
Great video buddy Looking forward to returning next year
Great video Karl, I saw you at the Black rock Cottage last year around this time, I'll be coming up that way again at the end of October if your around. You just can't beat a motorhome/campervan, I've had a campervan for 7 years and then sold that to build my own being a joiner, and have had that for 2 years now, it's so much nicer having a bigger van.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your videos on Glencoe. Your suggestions of where to go, was very helpful, and I was able to get a lot of shots which I know I wouldn't have got, if I hadn't had found your channel.
@@Seemples that’s much appreciated. Glad I can share my love of Glencoe
Those are some great images Carl, honey pot or not.
Gorgeous! We are coming to Glencoe on the 26th and there's snow forecast so we will be checking out hese sites. Many thanks for the tips.
Nice shots Karl.I am hoping to get up in a couple of weeks but worried I’ll miss the best of Autumn. At least I’ll get a roll on sausage at the best place in the area.👍
I can't believe but we have the same hat. I shot all my YT videos of Glencoe in that hat last year. 🤣So next time I'm there we have to record one together wearing the hats. Millions of views definitely guaranteed...😆 Great one again Karl and beautiful photos.
@@lightsandtones I hope it looks better on you than it does me, particularly at that time in the morning 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching.

Great images Karl, looking forward to meeting you next Monday
Another great video, love the last one.
I didn't know where that tree was thanks for letting us know where I be going there soon
Excellent video. Many thanks for sharing.
Beautiful images as usual Karl. I was in Glencoe last week it was stunning. I'm planning to return next year and fully intend to contact you in the new year for a days tuition.
The colours in the last image sums up autumn a beautiful photo your knowledge of Glencoe you impart to us all is invaluable so thank you
As a black and white photographer I don't really do autumn, but this makes me want to give it a try 👍 hoping to have a few nights in the Kingshouse next month for some winterish photography thank you so much for the ideas and inspiration 👌
the vans looking class Karl..the herringbone tiling looks spot on ..dji refresh is a great purchase Karl ..if they cant fix the drone you will get a brand new 1 (im sure I paid about 50 or 60 quid ..crashed mine on Cuillin ridge doing a bivi and sent it back mangled ..true to there word got a new drone ). an other great video 📸🎥👌
@@BrianWelshPhotography thanks for that. If ur going to crash a drone the Cullin Ridge is one of the best places. To be honest the Mavic pro 2 was getting on a bit. It was secondhand when I got it. Thanks for watching and advice. 👍👍
Lookward to your blogs from the glen --- we met once a couple of years back; you were with a WS and i stood back while cliants took thier photos and you said thanks and off you all went leaving me to the sceen for a good while which was perfect :) The worn out area around the waterfall is getting worse --- when that turns to bog with rain its going to to be bad. I like your advert for the DJI -- One Careful owner ?
I enjoyed the video as usual Karl. A place i love very much. Great location's. Absolutely stunning image's. Look forward to the next one. Atb Tim.
Cracking video Karl, I was up in Glencoe myself last week and was planning on shooting the Rowan in your last segment myself, I decided to give it a miss, big mistake on my part I must say, got some really nice shots from around Signal Rock and down Glen Etive though, also a belter from Invermoriston, loads of autumnal colour on the Beech tree's over hanging the cascades. having only just returned home I find myself now looking forward to my next visit in March, I'm hoping I can find a composition on the little stream that runs through Ballachulish, the area around the bridge there looks very promising, don't know if you've ever photographed it, be nice to know your thought's on it, look forward to your next vlog, all the best, Dave
@@davebrown6860 The maple tree at the river Laroch in Ballachulish is absolutely amazing at the moment. So vivid red. Glad you have fell in love with the place like me.
Most definitely Karl, we try and get up at least twice a year, every year, or have done for the last 6 years or so, soon as we get to the Loch Tulla view point it feels like coming home.
Well done Karl Great videos as always will be there in a fortnights time can not wait 😊
Thanks Karl. I love the locations you show around Glen Coe. I will be there in a week and this is one of the spots that I havent shot yet.
Thanks for another great video!
I like your channel. I keep coming back for more. But nearly seven minutes in before we even see a composition is too long. I really like your GlenCoe photos. They give me ideas for my visit in March of next year, but I would love to see more actual photos captured within your presentations.
Enjoyed the video as usual Karl. You had some fantastic conditions that day. Great image's as usual. Catch you on the next one.
Lovely photos karl glencoe magic 🎩 😊
Karl - can I be hugely cheeky and ask if there is an any way to know just where on the Glen Etive road that Skyfall was shot. Up in Glencoe with my wife for a day next month. Please forgive my cheek - I am an avid watcher (and subscriber of your videos!).
@@cliveingram9840 Hi Clive. Yes the Skyfall shot is easy to find. Drive down the glen until you see a bridge in the distance then look to you right and you will see an odd lone tree a bit off the road. The lay-by opposite the tree has now been tarmac . That’s the skyfall location. Dalness further down was the Fleming estate which is why James Bond’s dad was Andrew bond from Glencoe. Thanks for watching. 👍👍
@@glencoephotography1 you are a true star Karl. Thank you so much for taking the time to get back to me. Clive (PS have a great evening).
Nice to see your back Karl … great video and brilliant images as always 👍
hahaha the american thing is so true, i'm on the west coast and over here people wear $1500 rainjackets to get a cup of coffee from the corner. now imagine what they pack for trips.
