Safe travels on your trip to Arizona. Don't rely on your GPS when you're in the mountains out west, otherwise it might steer you down some roads that aren't really roads. Rely on maps.

Regarding showering, there are special shampoos that you can buy that will work on dry hair. They often are used for people who are bedridden. Also if you have room in your van, you can also do what it's called a "basin bath" which is where are you fill a small tub of water and use a washcloth to wash your stinky bits. It's not quite as good as a shower but it will clean you up. Also wet wipes can work in a pinch too.
