Yes girl, yes! It’s so sad that people don’t understand that all these influencers that are “influencing” you to buy these products are an AD. They’re not your friends, they’re not “trying to help you”, they are doing their job… which is to influence you. To make you believe that you need a new item every week, and if you don’t have it then you’re not cool. And yes you’re entirely correct that cheaper brands of makeup are, many times, just as good as the expensive stuff. People looking at you cannot tell a difference. You want to know the craziest thing of all? Many times, the products are actually the same thing.. but the more expensive brand gets to market the item up some insane amount just because of their name/branding. That’s not just for makeup either, that’s true for many goods like clothing, shoes, skin care, fashion accessories, even things like glasses and home wares! It’s crazy, and it’s sad that so many people get caught up in this cycle. Many times it’s young people (often girls/young women), or middle aged people who may be going through some common mid life changes/issues.

To be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are *topluxs* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do.
