Finding Your Civil War Soldier & His Pension
This narrative explains the process for finding a Civil War soldier and the resources available both published and online. Once service is established, the soldier’s pension provides great detail about his service, battles fought, vital records, physical description, medical and family information, and much more. The narrator examined over 250 pensions at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. and shares her experience in finding these valuable records.
