    У меня есть Schecter Banshee. Я купил эту гитару. Мне кажется, что Banshee лучше звучит в mix. У Solo 2 очень мало низких частот и много высоких. Это хорошо на Neck, но не очень хорошо на Bridge. Наверное я буду менять Pasadena plus на другой humbucker. Но какой? Спасибо за видео.

    This isn't a cheap guitar by any means but it's under a grand new (nearest Gibson single cut to that is a Les Paul Studio and they succ), seems very well made, has modern features and looks just like a Ziggy era Mick Ronson Les Paul Custom signature model..... from a distance :-) PS, good video and good playing! Despite beeing made in S.Korea (same factory that makes the ESP/LTD Deluxe and PRS SE Series btw.) these Schecters are loaded with specs you normally don´t find on import guitars. For example,it has a compensated Ernie Ball nut,same you find on USA EBMM models.It even has a compound radius fretboard like on Charvel/Jackson guitars and they have a neck heel that is ergonomic and not blocky like on a Gibson.You can go really down the last fret without any problem. Also,the pickups are not some cheapo Made in Asia humbuckers,you usually find on these import models but Made in USA,in Schecter´s californian custom shop.Keep in mind,Schecter was originally an aftermarket pickup/replacement parts company,before starting building guitars later.Their pickups are just as good as any S.Duncan or DiMarzio model. Lots of value for money here.

      @PowersG87 5 років тому

      Yes, both chambered body and full weight LPs, as well as 50s, 60s, and the 59 style necks. I'd put this up against any of em. It can be really bright if you want it to (especially if you use the coil split) or roll the tone knob down to make it more flubby if ya like. It covers a very good range of sound, and sounds killer in pretty much every position. Other than the sound (awesome to me) it fits me well. It doesn't have the big bulky heel at the neck joint, which makes the top 4 frets easy to get to. And the neck is wonderful for my hands. Its similar to a '59 "C" shaped neck profile but slightly slimmer. Also it's a satin finished neck, which I love

    • @PowersG87
      @PowersG87 6 років тому

      The only difference is finish from what I've gathered. The only other possibilities will be a regular maple top vs the flamed on mine. I'm sure the tone will be damn close, but guitars will vary slightly as different pieces of wood do. If I had to guess, I'd bet the satin finished ones would be inheritly a tad more open sounding since the wood would breath a bit more do to less finish/paint. Kind of like taking a cover off of a humbucker: almost the same, but an ever so slight difference.

      Awesome! You'll love it. I'm a big KSE, LoG, and Pantera fan as well. With the right amp this guitar can cover most of your rock/metal needs, no problem, and absolutely slay doing so. The only down side is scale length for drop tunings. That's what my other Schecters cover!

      @@BassMan-wr3lq sorry I just now saw this... it's still awesome, and still one of my favorite guitars, so much so, that I got one in Trans Black for another tuning lol I call the 1 in the video Blondie and the Trans Black one, Two Face. They both scream! The only thing I battle is that the bridge pickup has so much upper mid and treble, that I have to roll down the tone knob and drop the treble on my rig vs my other guitars. Recently have changed boost pedals and changed the EQ on the amps.

    Really nice playing man. The opening almost sounds like message riff. I want to get one of those in that color but the satin black is on sale. I think I'd be happier with the natural finish though. You're very talented. Thanks for uploading.

      Thanks again! I've worked my butt off for that stuff and its totally worth it! Got a couple more fiddles stuffed away too. I'll be releasing a couple new 7 string tunes soon. Subscribe if you dig it. I'll have some more play through videos in the future as well!

    I'm not a big fan of Metal but man that was some damn fine picking. Killer tone. Looking for a Lester without the Gibson price tag. Thinking this might be a winner. I know the pickups are American made and are rather expensive, but how's the quality of the pots, switch, and jack? Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated because there's not a lot of info out there on this guitar and just finding a video in English was a stroke of luck.

      Thanks for the compliments! I felt the same way about LP's. Love a few Gibsons but not the price. I too was hesitant about this guitar but I love Schecters and figured I would take the plunge. And man, I am so glad I did. The overall quality of the guitar is superb. I've only had 1 issue with the switch (just needed cleaned), jack has been solid/problem free, and the volume and tone pots have been noise free. My only gripe with the pots are that they are really sensitive as I'm use to ones with more resistance to movement. They definitely have that speed knob feel. The pickups were my biggest concern before purchase and I loved them so much from the first minute that I won't be switching to my usual Duncans or EMGs. Overall though, it is one of my favorites if not my favorite guitar. It's super versatile. I play mainly hard rock/metal and some classic rock/rock blues, and it does them all nicely. My brother actually used it on one of his newest tunes and he has more of a "Nashville" sound. I can't recommend this guitar and higher end Schecters enough. I am in no way affiliated with them, just a big fan and a predominantly a Schecter player since '06.

      PowersG87 I really appreciate the quick reply. Glad to know the hardware is quality as well. Higher end Schecters are definitely sleepers. One more paycheck and I'll go ahead and take the plunge. Will probably order straight from Schecter. Can't source one locally. Rock on man and thanks again.

      No problem! You caught me at the right time of night lol . Scope out guitar center if you're interested. You can get slightly used ones for pretty cheap.

    I don't know how these aren't more popular, as far as LP inspired single cuts go these are absolutely awesome,I really want one but I'm fucking poor

      I know man. It's probably my favorite guitar. Even though my other tunes are mainly in drop C or lower, this one feels and sounds so good (set up in drop D, a 1/2 step down). I had to record at least a few tunes with it. You might get lucky and find a steal of a deal on a slightly used one like I did. Keep an eye out! I'm looking for the new one with a trans black top and natural finished back and sides.

      I went on the Schecter website and drooled over the trans black burst or whatever they're calling it for about half an hour just a side note that particular one you have sounds amazing.

    I have some questions about this guitar. What's the neck profile like??? Thin, chunky, medium?? What's the fret size??? They look vintage from the video. I appreciate your time!! Thanks

    • @PowersG87
      @PowersG87 7 років тому

      The neck profile is C shaped like other Schecters (very similar to a '59 Gibson profile but slightly smaller). It is super comfortable to me and satin finished which I love. I hate flat necks and round ones are more ergonomic to me. I have large palms and short fingers lol The frets are very large and almost boxy but it plays like a dream. A side note: the stock pickups are awesome and the guitar is super bright with alot of body. I actually run the tone knob around 5/10 whereas my EMGS and duncans are almost all the way up on treble. Hope that helps!
