Am glad you made it out safely ❤❤❤, One of the worst mistake any immigrant on sponsorship can make, it’s picking up a managerial role in a care home, as an immigrant on sponsorship, I always advise to just be a nurse, cover your shift and get out of the building once you end your shift. Managerial role in a care home is not for the faint hearted, the politics is real and I believe it’s not targeted at a particular race, care home companies are always looking for who to take the fall for their negligence, the difference with their people is that they can walk out anytime unlike we immigrants that need sorting our visa… Managerial role in a care home is a suicide mission.

I honestly don’t blame you, for context I have just qualified here in the UK and a Children’s Nurse, I worked as a senior HCA in a residential home during my training. On the Nursinf side of things I have been qualified for just over month and I feel like I picked the wrong career, I spent my 3rd year getting through because I may as well because I had already got that far, but the toxicity in the environments I was working in was awful, when I worked in a residential home the toxicity was somehow 10x worse. And we had guys that came to this home on a sponsorship from Ghana and Nigeria and they would be blamed and targeted for things that went wrong it was disgusting, these people were clearly targeted for being black. I am a white man, but racism is not something I stand for, I am sorry that you and others have been subject of this bullshit

This is a sensitive issue and I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately there is a general assumption that social services have an agenda to take people's kids away from them. As a social work manager with 10yrs experience in the field I can confidently say this is far from case. Social services are overwhelmed and under resourced so the last thing we want is to bring more children into care or become involved in a family's life unless we have to. Most referrals are signposted to early help and other non statutory services. Only the police and courts have the powers to remove a child from the care of their parents. The court will only make such an order allowing social services to remove a child based on evidence and not what social workers think or feel. As a child of immigrant ghanaian parents there is a fine line between discipline and abuse. Smacking and Beating are 2 different things. Beating- to strike (a person or an animal) repeatedly and violently so as to hurt or injure them Smacking- to strike (someone or something), typically with the palm of the hand. A lot of african parents beat their children in anger at what the child has done which has nothing to do with discipline and is abusive. Discipline should correct and train/guide the child’s behaviour. A lot of children have died and suffered horrific abuse without anyone knowing what they were going through. So because of this schools are encouraged to be more curious and vigilant for signs of abuse. Of course this doesn't mean they should accuse parents. If as a parent a school contacts you with concerns please clarify the situation where their concerns are baseless. Even if there is a basis for their concerns be open to support if social services become involved and work with them to keep your children safe at home with you. Being defensive and dismissing concerns when there is evidence of abuse will not assure any social worker that you can prioritise the child's safety and wellbeing.

What band is this new job though? I have a very similar experience from a care home as well. I left like u have and I’ve never regretted doing so. It is always best to bolt as fast you can immediately u come to the realization that you do not belong in a toxic place. As u said, God takes us places to learn lessons. It is not our place to determine how long we stay serving at that place, all we need to do is take the lessons seriously and move with the flow of the Holy Spirit who actually began the journey with us. God’s got you girl! I’m glad you survived this!!🎉❤

This case could land you into ILR with ease…seek legal advice as the Home Office detest any form of abuse and you need a good evidence to support your case.

I didn't know without ILR you could wait that long before getting into another job knowing when CoS is cancelled it takes 60days to be removed from uk
