I think another thing that supports this, or at the very least lessens the potential hole of "What if Benjamin also saw it". Put simply, even if he did, it wouldn't be on his floor because it doesn't make any sense to put it there. Hokma's floor is Religion, and every Abno on each floor is strongly related to the floor's main theme. Being the floor of religion and talking about faith, the future, and how even if an impossible goal can never truly be obtained, if it motivates you to keep moving forward until you finally reach some kind of more practical goal, it's done it's job, the Smoke Monster doesn't really fit into those themes very much. If it had to go into a floor, it would work on Yesod's floor, since a major theme of Tech Science was "People only care about buying the sausage, and actively ignore how it's made", or maybe Chesed's, as the detail about disgust for it never truely going away matches what he says in his finale about how "Even if it's stored in the back of your mind for years, once you become aware of your own shame, it becomes easier to step up and fight back against bad things". Which as you say, it doesn't really relate to either of them personally, and it clearly has a massive impact on Roland in addition to being more thematically appropreate for his floor over Hokma's, so I think even if Benjamin did see the Smoke Monster, it wouldn't have been on his floor in the first place when Roland's worked just as well for it. Plus, before the last big update for LoR that added the Keter Realization and changed the ending, the Black Silence was meant to be the realization. If the Smoke Monster was basically CENSORED, that means that Keter would have had 5 Abnos like all the others, with it's final Abno being an ALEPH just like the middle/upper floors.

I know this theory doesn't have to much sense but I really like to think that CENSORED is some sort of reminder that you can't forget that things are wrong since even with the cognition filter it still need another filter to be good enough looking. I also think it may be a representation of how we normally forget that there are natural and normal things that are bad and we just filter them as something common or that can pass even if it's true or not
