I like your ESC idea on the side of the chassis I don’t think the locked diff is an issue. I’m also running an epoxy locked diff and it seemed to helped me. As others mentioned, check toe and suspension rebound. Maybe stiffen up the spring and try to lower the car if it’s not already. On your steering what is your deadband on the servo (smallest increment of motion) Do you have to move you radio steering input a lot before the servo jumps to the next position? Are you running a gyro? That might help with a lot of the steering woes. These problems can be super frustrating but working out the bugs is part of the challenge. Hang in there…

Great efforts, Greg. I know this chassis can be a tough one to get moving straight, but when it does, she can really get going. How's your front toe-out? It's tough to see in the video, but it looks like there isn't much toe-out, which can definitely help the straight-line driving. Your tires kinda do what mine do, too. You get on the power, and they slide out from under you and the car goes wild. Maybe try some tire sauce, or different tires? Chucky's Hobbies gave me a good tip, too. The speed ramping on your radio can help a ton. If you have that function, it's worth playing around with as it'll help keep the tires stuck to the ground under acceleration.

Awesomeness ! My buddy Ed used to paint his full-size enduro race cars ( he had a new one every couple weeks ) and would paint them plaid with a roller . That boy wasn’t right ! Ha. He needed to weld repair a gas tank and filled it with water. That don’t work ! He got soaked when it blew up ! . Wasn’t hurt at all . I Had a white old clunker I was giving to him . Red and black Sharpie painted a stick figure character on the sides holding a gas can in one hand and a torch in the other with his hair on fire and “SIDE SHOW ED “ wrapped around it ! He was pissed ! Ha

I think you need a new diff, if one wheel looses traction and unloads, it could cause it to veer off, but i do agree on idea of a no body test run to see if it is grabbing a tire and turning it. And if that's it, add some shoe ooo and folded lexan like for truck beds on the big track at King. Being that it's a speed run car and you can roll into it, not have to launch, you could try to stiffen up the suspension all the way around, take out any body roll. I might would try a throttle limit or at least a delay to smooth it out more until you get it running straight. No sense in wrecking parts at full throttle if it's giving fits at half. Is there any rule that says you can t drive it FPV so long as the submission is filmed according to the rules?

Impatiently waiting on the GHIA body

Your rear suspension may be doing what mine was doing. If I depress the shocks they rebound very slowly unbalancing the car.

It might be your servo but have you tried it without a body. Just slowly roll into the throttle. It looks kinda like the body is pushing in at speed and rubbing on a tire and making it want to turn. I dont know if a unlocked front diff would change that. There a bugger to get going right ever since my wreck that i had to change the chassis i have ben chassing my tail to try and make it go straight. Might want to try it on 2s first till you have it sorted out.

Instructions are online on their website. Included in the kit is a piece that allows perfect servo centering also. I run a Jok3r and a Mardave assassin car at my local track. Super fun and low cost racing indoor on carpet.
