These Losi NASCARs are a blast and cheap.

@@taperoorepat6545 Tamiya cars have a special place in my heart. My first 3 hobby grade cars were Tamiya. I’m 50 and not hanging up the transmitter anytime soon.

@@timmy4539 I recommend dish soap for the first cleaning. I use alcohol after I mask just to clean up any finger prints. Not saying it wouldn’t work. The body can never be too clean.

@@timmy4539 Awesome thank you ! I learned out of necessity. I liked the custom paint jobs but couldn’t afford to pay someone else to do it for me . Lots of practice and patience. I have been in the hobby for 40 years .

@Okpaintguy2 Is the paint you use accrylic paint ?

@ yes for the most part I use Createx . If I use solvent paint it’s Spaz Stix .

@Okpaintguy2 I'm going to try and paint my first body. I used Apple Barrel Acrylic gloss paint to black out the windows had to put 3 coats on with a brush to get it to cover ! I'm just going to paint it one solid color, a metallic gun metal gray, but I'm going to rattel Can spray it with Crylon fusion enamel ! You're the expert, so I have ask will it work ??

@ I suggest trying it on a scrap piece of lexan before committing to the body. Tamiya , Spaz , Traxxas , and Duratrax make quality polycarbonate (lexan) specific spray paint that work great.

@@Dorkyand40 with the cricut use the offset button for outlines . You can adjust the thickness and do multiple outlines.

@@Dorkyand40 also use the warp feature to lean the letters and numbers. I just to a lot of clicking until I figured it out lol ! A lot of possibilities with the cricut.

@@aguyinnc2865 It fits in the pre 97 classes. It came out in 95 with no major design changes since then.

@@Okpaintguy2 Ok that's good to hear. I think it should be allowed, but read somewhere on some post that it wasn't. Love the vintage racing, I have my original JRX2, Junior T, and XXXT. I also heard the XXXT and T3 was too new for vintage. A shame it's so hard to get parts for the older models.

@@aguyinnc2865 I guess it depends on the track. They did have the post 97 catch all classes at this race for some of the newer rear motor buggies and trucks.

@Okpaintguy2 Like to see you run a hornet.And a hornet evo on the track next year. It is hard to believe you got third with that. I do love running my grasshopper. You got to get a grasshopper2 and the grasshopper 2 black edition with the 4 oil filled dampers. And run them both of them in a race.

@@EricGalley-i3y I’m not setting a good example of safety. I just have a door or window open . I mostly use water based paint and should be wearing PPE . If I use any solvent based paint I generally use it outside if the temperature isn’t too cool . I have been looking into one of those portable booths / exhaust box things .

@@timhubbard7848 sometimes I have to thin some colors . Iwata HPC S with the 035 factory needle and tip .

@ yes it is I love paint body shells as well when I’m not racing or wrenching on cars but I do love to paint every now and then.
