Brian Akins loves all things old and sharp. I picked up this Native American Dag once owned by Antique Dealer Glenn Mattox. Solid example with blade mark and hot file branded primitive wood handle. #brianakins #rebelrelics #history #knife #antique #now #today

John 3:16 King James Version 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 John 1:9 King James Version 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Who knows...Some of such samurai sword forged by famous Japanese swordsmith.....Honjo Masamune...
Great stuff !
That’s really more of a short sword.
That is wonderful.
Yeah nah, that's a short sword
A "southern" rendition of a Roman short sword.
Why only have stuff from the side that came second in the conflict it's wierd .
Beautyful colection
Friend, I know the weapon swell over 1000-years old-but what kind of edge did it have? Howsharp was it still?
Hey I see you at all the shows but every time I try to meet you, you are talking with someone. You have some great items always cool to look at
Next time holler at me ….. when I’m at show I try to be the first one in the door and work it. 🤠
Good valuable info. Thanks.
Dude those are some of the most beautiful ww2 guntos I’ve ever seen in my life you are so damn lucky. I wish I could have one as a centre piece for a future collection
Reminds me of a cutlass bayonet.

@@civilwarrelics can u tell me anything about them? Like area/year/ what they are called. I’ve been searching and searching to find something close to similar. And your video is the only visual I’ve had to seeing a like kind sword.
What a beauty
What a beauty.
Big Old Blade
That's an amazing collection
Love those relics
How much do some of those katanas usually go for?
I have the exact blade you're holding at the end! 😱😱😱😱 Do you know how much these are worth?!
I have heard of the shin gunto blades going from 500-5,000 depending on the originality and condition,.....some are original blades that have been remounted, others are all original but not in the best shape, ito wrap undone, rust on the blade, pitting in the steel and so on,.l have a friend who took his shin gunto type 89 to a cutlery shop to have it sharpened, they put a secondary bevel on the blade and destroyed the collector value, as well as the blade itself,......good luck, hope this helps.
Bruh I live in fayetteville NC I heard that we produced our own rifle
We used to have a WWII sword. You could see blood remnants on it. My brother swore it was haunted from the soldiers killed by it.
happens a lot, terrifying as it is. it is believed throughout the swordsman community that Japanese swords were "the soul of the samurai" and would often be said to embody the soul of its past user, and sometimes the souls of those it killed. i myself have had experiences, believe what you will but i hadn't believed in ghosts until this, but a friend of mine bought a sword from the civil war (American civil war that is) and the story behind it was that it had been used against its wielder. he sought out the sword because when he lived in Gettysburg, he lived in the house that the soldier had grown up in. so, when he saw it was on auction, he jumped at it. i spent the night because he knew that i, being a trained kendo and kenjutsu practitioner and a samurai culture enthusiast, would have some idea of what might happen if his soul was carried by the blade. i had no idea what i got myself into.... with the hour of the clock ringing by 12 am, crazy shit started happening. Cups from his cupboard fell off shelves as soon as we left the kitchen, footsteps from different areas of the house, a mirror cracked and fell from the wall, and worst of all were those damn whispers. I had brought my favorite katana, a family relic that was the pride and joy of the Sakai, the sword carried by the last true samurai of our lineage, a man who was Christian and was ordered to death because of his faith, and the blade i had prayed over and anointed with holy oil. As soon as i unsheathed the blade, Whispers became loud thuds and broken plates, scratching from other rooms, then... silence. I spoke not a word, and we both lay awake with my blade unsheathed on a stand beside my matt on the floor. We didn't sleep a second that night, and the morning there of we immediately went to first cleanse the blade and give it to a museum in Gettysburg. My friend, poor Calvin too afraid to stay, moved not a month later. We stay in touch, but never speak of that night that 4 days from now will be exactly 3 years ago. Calvin is now very religious and attends a Lutheran church every Sunday morning, before that had only gone to church on holidays. Thinking about it makes me laugh, but sends a shutter up my spine now that i know there are powers beyond what we can see, being i never believed in anything other than jesus. Be careful with blades like that, my friend.

супер.браво.
I want one 😅🤣
Been watching people all day give reviews. I'm a knifemaker, making a Pirate Bowie & couple wood processors.... Your video here sure is a nice breath of fresh air. Was looking for some real life, real Southern Style bowies from the civil war era. Thanks for posting, surprised most haven't given more friendly comments. You have some real nice stuff, will be probably increase in value 10%, each year you hang on to those pieces. (Gunsmith told me that years ago about the Garand 10% in value / Easy). Nice job, thanks for posting. Very informative, hard to find real life pieces like this.
Big Stud Thank you very much.
Thanks for the videos Brian.... I have a sword that claims to be an 1862 Boyle and Gamble but I am not so sure. The little research I've done suggests the scabbard should be leather but mine is all metal, do you have any advice on this? I also made a quick video of the sword if you have time to check it out and weigh in. ua-cam.com/video/YUy85NTILCU/v-deo.html
Ron C Good morning .... you have a 1970s Reproduction. Brian
