Ox baker was a beautiful soul. I met him in Las Vegas at one of the CFA conventions. He asked where I was from, when I said Florida he said " What do you think about that big Fat Dusty Rhodes?" I told him that I saw him at the National Guard armory in Fort Myers and was terrified because he and Dusty were covered in blood. I happened to be with my GF at the time, she had gigantic boobs and was showing quite a bit of cleavage. I joking asked Ox, " Do you think your heart punch could get through all that?" He just blushed... I believe he was a dedicated husband who cooked for the other wrestlers and would sing opera... You could tell that he was just a nice guy and loved being around his fans. He was at a table next to manager Gary Hart and Judo Gene Labell... all very nice gentlemen. Later at a banquet dinner The missing link ( who was still HUGE, I mean a giant ) got into a verbal altercation that looked like it was about to get physical, and I believe it was with gary Hart who supposedly cut him open with a razor ( and had very good reason to ) backstage at World class. Also met Harley race... smoking a cigarette and a handshake like a hydraulic press...

I remember a few years after this, and after he went through the surgery that removed part of his jaw and the reconstruction.... he was on FaceBook on an official chat etc...and yes it was really him and such... even though he really couldn't talk anymore, he still had his wit etc and still zing people as only he could... he could still type..and boy... being able to experience that live?? Awesome... he was still 'The Brain' no matter what.
