Sonic ain’t gonna happen. And he never will be. But I think Ninji would be better because it would be more likely to have him in the upcoming Mario Kart game. But who knows? Maybe the developers might be able to get the rights to add him to the main roster. So, we’ll have to see.

The non Mario character we really need in Mario Kart 9 is Sonic the Hedgehog.
For the baby characters, I can understand Wario, since he was a thing in Yoshi’s Island DS, but Waluigi as a baby doesn’t exist. If Nintendo is going add more baby characters, it should be DK or Bowser. Mostly the former.
