even if its a copy of it. that doesnt mean its a bad one. infact, no. its not a copy. the sopranos aired in 1999. the penguin was revelant since 1941. and this depiction has more similarity to his comic book versions than he has to the sopranos.

Really don’t get this. It’s literally nothing like the sopranos in the slightest. Collin Farrel sort of sounds like Tony Soprano. That’s about the extent of it. I think this take is from people who have literally never watched an episode of the Sopranos.

Hmmmmmm I'd argue Penguin has more humility than Tony. Tony is much more superficial as well, and much more of a fire cracker. Tony has a tendency to argue and yell, Oz tries to negotiate and persuade more. Tony is much braver than Oz. Oz gets pushed around a lot more than Tony where as Tony would never let any of that slide.

06:55 And this is where you lost me. Saying that an adaptation is very hard to do and blah blah blah. That is a commonly used way to justify lazy and bad writing. For example, what they did to Allicent's character in the last episode of season 2, has nothing to do with the difficutlies of an adaptation, it's just bad writing. Those two women should be as bloodthirsty as anyone by this point. They should hate and despise each other(like in the books and because of HUMAN NATURE)They started this war. But now it is more evident than ever that their(showrunners) only goal is to blame the patriarchy...Of cource... I am pretty sure that they are going to change the ending of the story. And this time there is no excuse, there is no missing book material.
