Fabric dyeing with red onion skins
Переглядів 82Рік тому
Home dyeing with dry red onion skins. Ratio of fabric vs. skins should be about 1:1. I let the first fabric simmer for 1 hour, the second for 2 with added vinegar, the 3rd for 2:45. Here's what I got out of unmordanted cotton fabric and cotton yarn. #dyeing #onion #red

Переглядів 109Рік тому
The "One Hour" Dress is a simple dress from original 1920's instructions by Mary Brooks Picken and the Women's Institute of Domestic Arts. Take more time when you want to create it the first time, it will pay off in the final look. And don't forget the hip dart. For anyone curious, places visited in Berlin are: - a jazz nightclub in Neukölln (smoky) - St. Mary's church at the Alexanderplatz (sp...

Dankeschön für das tolle Video!!! ❤. Ich werde es ausprobieren!.
I love your accent
But if bead doesn't pass through the needle ?
You need a beading needle
You have a very relaxing voice ! Thanks for the tutorial:)
How do thread a needle that small??? Please help! Like recommending what thread and also how to? I have seed bead needles and everything. I just can’t start bc threading the needle is hard!!!! Please helppppp
Hello there! Ever seen a needle threader? They come in handy in these cases. I used polyester machine sewing thread by Gütermann. You can also divide your embroidery yarn into different strands, for small pearls, use only one.
I want to make an entire dress out of embroidery with beads, how can I use the loop? Can I use it on top of already sown beads? Thank youu
Short anwer: Nope. Start small, maybe with a clutch or pompadour, whole dresses need a LOT of work.
The end of the video really moved me.. The way you speak of the world and your experiences in it is very touching. I hope you do more videos like this!
Excellent tutorial 😊 Beautiful 😍
Wow! Thank you so much for posting this
THIS IS THE WORST TUTORIAL EVER. You don’t know what u doing dear. Take some tutorials lol
Good piecing on your pattern. The rough handstitching is called basting (bay-sting to pronounce) in English. I'm interested to see how you decorate and complete this piece.
Thank-you!
i feel like this is one of those videos that will blow up randomly a decade later. your art is beautiful <3
Thank you!
Excellent tutorial! Thank you 🙂
Can you explain the fabric wrapped around the inner hoop? What is it? What is its use?
Hi Carol, the fabric is simple twill tape to keep the fabric from distortions. Try the difference yourself, I find it very useful.
