I was 11 so just old enough to stay up late enough for everyone to be asleep. No cell phone, no internet yet, it was the last time you were truly alone and I feel bad for everyone who will never get to experience that silence. I'd read a book, play video games or watch TV until the infomercials started, but I was alone with my thoughts and it wasn't by choice. I miss that sometimes.

I can't say i didn't make the most of it because from 1990 to 2000 i had the best life ever, i don't think i could live this horrible existence if i had not had those days, because even in ur lowest of times you can just shut your eyes and remember something amazing! music helps and a few old photographs, remember we are the last generation who had actual photo albums and actual pictures :) maybe i will make a montage of my favorite 80s and 90s pictures and add some nice background music, it will give me something to do and an escape from this modern hell for a while

I was 10 in 83'. Life was becoming more and more wonderful for me then. My mother had just moved us into an apartment in the outskirts of the city that was surrounded by trees and alfalfa fields. The smell was heavenly. We had a creek close to us and we could go swimming there in the summer and just had so much fun. Ah, you take me back to great times. Thank you.

86' was one of my favorite years growing up in the 80's. I was 13 and the NES was super popular. Toys were awesome and Saturday morning cartoons were amazing. The winter I had out at my grandma's with my dad and cousin were comparable to none. I miss those blessed days. Thanks for sharing.

1993 I was 13 years old. My close friends and i almost lived at each other's houses. We played video games, called girls. Went camping near our houses in the nearby forest. We didn't have a care in the world. I remember nights we'd get bored and go night fishing or terrorize the neighborhood golf course. We were always meeting up with friends and socializing. I can't imagine what it must be like being 13 in today's world. I feel sorry for my children that are 9 and 11 years old. I just want them to be children for as long as they can. Those times you can never get back.

in 1992, i was very young. But i was not happy as i was in the middle of long dark tunnel. I'm now 52 and much happier and more energetic. I think youth is not always positive and happy. But i also miss some pages of that time. But i do just because it is past not Because it is good.
