An absolutely magic blue day in Waikiki. The swell was a little weaker than we had hoped for but still some amazing longboarding waves perfect for noseriding. It's hard to complain when the conditions are so perfect.

I paddled out to Pops on the evening of June 14th right as the swell began to peak. There was a pretty small crowd for how big it was, and there were some solid sets with waves nearing 10 foot faces. Yeah it was so much fun. It’s a fun board a bit heavy but it was only $50 😂

Awesome Video! Brings back memories of a 2014/15 hurricane swell when I looked down from our Seaside apartment at the south shore, it was line after line outside of Pops 4ft+ and no one was really out. There were no breaks, just relentless just like this! thanks for the video Aidan 🤙🏾

6:17 was heeeeaavvyyyy haha. That reminded me of that super swell we got 2ish years ago in August. My first year in Oahu haha they had that insane 12+ foot south shore waves. Very sorry about your board, Aidan. Is this spot famous for it's big rock in the last half or so of the wave? If so, I scored that place with a handful of regulars in '77 on a visit from Oahu. Honestly, it seems like two years ago....very vivid memories. Strong S swell, speedy/juicy 5' to 7' faces on a low tide. But back to you: I hope you get your step-up board woes sorted out soon. Are going for another twinner?
Yeah there’s a big coral head about half way down the line. Tide was too high to see it this day. It’s a great wave on low tide especially. I already have another step up on Oahu but I’m gonna try get a similar one for big island if I can pick one up for cheap 🤙
