@ back when I first started djing I was a Serato guy, then people wanted Karaoke so that’s when I made the switch and stuck with VDJ. They are both the Best programs for DJing!!

@ I usually tell the couple give me 10 songs that you definitely want played because 99% of Weddings the couple wants you to take requests, so if they give a 2 or 3 page list of must play songs there is no way you can take requests not only that there would be no possible way you can play every song on their list.

That’s awesome man glad to hear ! & that’s a good question, I feel that I can comfortably push them for 100 people & as mentioned not so much for big rooms. 150 people I’d be more comfortable with two speaker tops and a 15 inch sub, otherwise maybe only rooms with a low ceiling for 150 people

J8’s definitely sound like they’re perfect for you lol the EVs are way overpriced, j8s to me had the best sound clarity, boost & convenience when traveling for its price point

I'm still loyal to my J8's, they've just been the right fit for the type of events I do, I've never had trouble with the bass, I more so have trouble speaking over the music when making announcements or MC'ing, I feel like that's just where 12-15inch speaker tops really shine The j8's are just so portable and gave me my overall best price to clarity of sound ratio

@@user-UnMagico I still use it, I just don’t always get asked to do lights but I would say it’s held up so far, half the time there’s maybe one light out of 6 that never reads correctly so it’s a lot of unplugging & refreshing the software but eventually it always works

@@jtm71 all good bro ! I think the main things were the venue complaining about my lights bc they were shining right in the bartenders face, other than that, it was a fairly easy event bc I’ve DJ’d for them multiple times already & she didn’t have many formalities

I’m sure for my first wedding I would’ve done them under those circumstances as well but sheesh that’ll be a long day of travel & in regards to being able to shadow it’s definitely a blessing being able to watch how a wedding is supposed to be from start to finish, if there’s any known good wedding DJ’s in your area be a roadie for them & youll learn a wealth of information
