The best orchestration of op.72 so far
Fantastic!
Amazingly rich and sinister. Well done!
Nice
Wow that’s beautiful. One thing I’ll say is that I would’ve preferred a xylophone, and marimba presence for the repeated eight notes in the high registers (5:56 for reference). I would’ve also preferred the tempo to be a bit faster especially at the part I mentioned. This is just my personal taste though. This is so beautiful. Well done!
I'm in awe Thank you so much for this Do you allow the use of this audio for a video-score with the original piano sheet? (Yes, I may be interested in buying your score later, but that's a different subject)
Epic arrangement and recording, although why the little fadeout at the end? Why can't the sound fade out by itself completely? It's always like this with pieces put up on UA-cam. People cut off the end. I don't understand. <--- (very mild version of what I actually think of this practice)
Hey thank you so much for your comment ! Can't be more agreeing with you, I've just received the mix as it is and couldn't make it to get the rushes and remake a mix without fadeout, pity but well :)
Tu as joué cela où ?
Outstanding orchestration, sir! In my opinion, far superior to Leytush's. The muted horns at the beginning are perfect. The opening section needs winds, not strings. I particularly admire how you changed the fourths in the bassline to steady quadruplets. Scriabin's use of quintuplets is surely to facilitate the hands moving across multiple registers. No doubt he would have made them steady quadruplets as you did had he orchestrated it (Leytush has the timpani play quintuplets as in the original, and it just sounds goofy). And your layered string arpeggios in the final climactic section are inspired, far more effective than simple tremolos. Well done!
Great job, Nicolas ! Who are the performers ?
The person who wrote this has clinically gone insane
BRAVOOOOO, Maravelous orchestration. Wonderful, wonderful.
Definitely something I would want to experience live!
I love it thanks for sharing
this is absolutely amazing
Promo`SM 🔥
Yo this is fire (literally)
What a gorgeous score! Hats off! I appreciate the hard work you've put into this.
Thank you man !
Oh my god this is so beautiful !!!
thank you !
SUUUUUUUPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best orchestral version of this. Definitely how Scriabin would have done it.
It is as if this came out of a movie, impressive work there.
thank you man !
this is an unbelievable arrangement, i usually cannot listen to orchestrations of this piece as none have done justice, but this sounds like he originally wrote it this way. amazing transcription and incredible performance!
fine! who is the arranger?
me :)
I am interested in buying full score + parts for this piece.
Thank you ! Please contact me at nicolas.roulive@hotmail.fr about this :) !
How did you get an orchestra to perform it? Was it commissioned? Great orchestration!
Thank you ! It was played by my university’s student orchestra :) they were really spectacular !
Superb. The atmosphere is captured perfectly from the beginning, as in the darkest piano performances of this piece. The instrumentation chosen seems to be perfect - the thin tone of the original theme when it enters, the brass used to emphasise those repeated notes towards the climax - and the bells to bring out the final upward scale are a touch of genius. Everything feels and sounds right about this!
thanks man !!
@@Nykho1409 You produced a fantastic piece of work here! For a fantastic piece. Think the composer would have approved!
Indulgent textures, reminiscent of Prometheus almost. A bit slow for my taste, especially in the opening chorale. Still the best orchestration of it I've heard yet; is the score available anywhere?
Thanks ! Yep, I will publish it soon :)
Amazing orchestration! I kind of prefer this to the original, tbh :)
Agree it's hard to un-hear this, now you've heard it. Vers la flamme was meant to be Scrabin's 11th piano sonata, but who really knows?
You should make it available on Spotify maybe!
Wooow I love it! That's sooo interesting!
Déteste pas...
You orchestrated it? It's great btw.
Yes I did it two years ago almost :) Thank you so much!
Absolutely wonderful!!! Warmest congratulations!!!!
Thank you greatly. The first I learn of the piece being orchestrated. Have you see Vladimir Horowitz explaining, then playing the piano piece on UA-cam?
Holy hell, this is fantastic!
Aww thanks so much!!
Great orchestration, it definitely has a Scriabin tone quality. Awesome job!
Thank you so much !
@@Nykho1409 Keep up with the good work.
excuse me, but since i can't comment on your other video. Did you orchestrate vers la flamme? It's my favourite orchestration of this piece, by far. Merci beaucoup :)
Hi Antonio ! Sorry for late reply. Yes I did orchestrate it :) Thank you so much for your kind comment !! I wish to orchestrate much more of this amazing composer by the future :) cheers
@@Nykho1409Do you happen to have a score of it? I'd love to study it.
Suuuuuper! <3
Euh... C'est du bruit ou de la musique ? Quelle epoque pourrie, on a coulé !
