Good thing you caught that clog in time. I didn't and burned out the motor. It still had great suction, so I kept vacuuming. I didn't realize the motor was overheating from the restricted air. When it shut down, I felt the motor area from the outside and it was smoking hot. Actually am hoping it is a thermal fuse that will reset when motor cools off. I'll find out today when I try to start it up. Otherwise, to the dumpster with it.
I appreciate this man's determination. It's not the vacuum, it's the line. The only bissell I ever cared for was the manual sweeper, which they still make.

I helped fix my friends vacuum and Was able to disassemble and clean out the clogged tube. It was a no brainer! My friends couldn’t believe it! They’ve gone through 4 vacuums this year. They think I’m a genius - I literally watched this video in the bathroom and then proceeded to fix their problem.
Same exact problem with mine. Hose was clogged with pine needles and dust from Christmas cleaning lol. Works like a charm now. Cheers from Texas, saved me $80 on a new vacuum 👍. Good looking out!

I tried to get Hoover to give me a new brush roller for my brand new Vacuum cleaner but the best they could do is sell me a new one for $30 minus a 30% discount plus tax and shipping. I explained to them that their cleaner sounded more like a lawn mower than a vacuum cleaner but they were steadfast that they wouldn't stand behind their product. Never again, Mr. Hoover
