South Downs Light Railway 11th August 2013
The South Downs Light Railway is based in the grounds of a Wyevale Garden centre in Pulborough. The 10 1/4 inch gauge line is run entirely by volunteers. The majority of locos are owned privately so Peggy and Pulborough are most commonly seen pulling their trains.

Pure magic
Is this really a passenger train? I mean this looks like a train from A fairytale!
Where is this Railway located. I want to get into this. It's really enjoyable and bring back our childhood without playing.
GB, 35 km to liverpool
Excelente paseo. Muchas gracias, Colonia Uruguay.
Auf einmal vorgeschlagen...is interessant anzuschauen, wo ist das?
Quality of video is very good, driving was excellent, whistling at correct locations , some time sounds of whishle was low with slight vibration, track is nicely maintained. Engine was perfectly shed out no cause of complain was noticed during running on track.Driver is well experienced , with smooth operation of train ,no jurk or sudden bracking observed.Over all nice veiw.

Good
Very cute like a little child😀😃❤🧡💘
Nice to Watch !
very cool!..if i were a filthy rich billionaire i'd have this running all over my property, as well as a mini-cart race track
Watch this real toy train in India that actually carries the passengers. ua-cam.com/video/gHHT2Nd1ZR4/v-deo.html
very very Nice.
jordan bhai badhiya video post karte ho
is this still here ?
I'm guessing is this 12" gauge? Thanks
I wish to travel 😕
Awesome
In 1952 my dad gave me a toy wind-up train just like that red jobbie for a Christmas present. I liked it but dad played with it more than I ever did! I'll never forget the Hornby Train.
Суперово !!!!

Very good...
Now we know why in real locos the chimney is taller than the driver's cabin.
cool
Best holiday we had was in Rhyl in the 1960s. The ride on this railway and a fabulous large OO guage model railway were highlights as was the priate radio stations and the couple who moved into the pigeon shed to rent out their house to holidaymakers!
I can almost smell the smoke!
Steam :p yes I know it is smoke but for some reason we still call it steam (I'm guessing because there is a lot of steam.involved too)
what gauge is this?
fifteen inch
As I understand it, the Ravenglass-to-Eskdale light railway isn't just a tourist attraction, it also serves as a commuter service between the two towns and takes in a few more stops along the track as well.
Do you know what gauge that is
james spencer it 7 1/4 inch
I'm writing a kids' cartoon about (mostly) animal characters, in a fictional national park, that has a rail-link based on this line... I know Beatrix Potter took a lot of her influence from the Lake District, as did the creator of Postman Pat. This place continues to inspire
I hope River Esk, River Irt and River Mite can be restored to working order. So sad to hear about the fire :(
Fantastic video - really enjoyed it! Great quality. Maybe next time you could perhaps take some more footage of the loco and driver before train departs, have a look in the cab etc.
It's name is Hartfield.
I love the little red one at the end! What's its name?
No, this visit was on the way back from a holiday in Devon and I live at the other end of the country, but I will be at Rudyard Lake Steam Railway on the 21st and 22nd for their gala as I am a volunteer.
Great vid. Will you be joining us for the gala on the 28th and 29th of this month?
That track is great I wish we had one like that here in South Australia in 18 inch Gauge
Hi Nathan, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it as I have the Rudyard Lake Steam Railway Gala the following weekend but I will try and visit in the future and i will let you know over UA-cam when I do. Thanks, Jordan.
Hi, I think that at 4:50 the locomotives injector was on. Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Jordan , at 4:50 in the video it sounds like the engine is weasing? great video by the way!
Awesome clip! Good job! Thumbs Up!:)
DID YOU KNOW: Wilbert Awdry, author of The Railway Series (Which later inspired the television series Thomas the tank Engine and friends), based one of his 26 books on this railway. In it, he wrote about three "small engines;" Rex, a green engine who was based on "River Esk," Bert, a blue engine based on "River Irt," and Mike, a red engine based on "River Mite."
Thanks.
