I love you!...you knitted for Mousey!...lol......I have to tell you that I happily knitted on Xmas socks, and watched this episode....loved it thourly...loved all your socks, and beautiful finished objects.......I,m in Parrsboro N.S ...so we are almost neighbors!.....I have bad migraines as well ,so my heart goes out to you ......😊
Sock WIP solidarity! Loving all of your sock projects :) glad i discovered your channel!
Welcome back! You brought out a good point about not drinking etc and spending money on yarn! Plus adult money….that was great! Good for you on your purchases of those beautiful yarns! Enjoy knitting them up!
Thank you ❤
I tried to find you on GoodReads because I ABSOLUTELY love love love reading books but I couldn’t find you, either by putting in your name or copying the link so I wondered if you wanted to try and find me on there. I am Paula on there and my avatar is my cat snips scissors. Not sure if you need an email-if so let me know. Hope to see you over there!
Hi Paula, I checked the link and it seems to be working. Sorry you are having trouble finding me. I love to catch up with other readers. Are you on IG? You can pm me your email or username on there and I will add you 😊
Just found your podcast and have immediately subscribed🤩 Love all your colors and all the socks. Thank you for a very inspiring episode😍🎵💖
Aww thank you so much! ❤ 😊
Looove all your socks Heather!! I'm totally with you. I need to do my socks tandem too. 2nd sock syndrome is reals! love love your Tolsta and can't wait to hang out and shoooop with you this weekend!! 🥰🥰🥰
Sophie you need to try tandem! Game changer 🎉
Happy birthday Heather. Good to see you back. ❤ Have you ever tried Polka Dot Creek yarn. They are Canadian 🇨🇦from AB. They do a pt of self striping and beautiful yarns. They often have 20% sales I think there is one coming up for Thanksgiving. They also have a UA-cam channel called “ easily distracted by yarn”. Cheers
I have tried their yarn and love it. But I didn’t know they had a UA-cam video. Off to subscribe 😊
Heather I enjoyed this so much you are so talented your acquisitions had me drooling!!! All are so good ! Can’t wait to see the finished Tolsta Tee Thankyou for always being so inspiring creative and bringing joy by sharing your time with us!!💕🧶
Hi Crystal!!! ❤ I’m hoping I’ll be wearing my tolsta at the next knit night.
Nice to see your new episode Heather. Love all your socks!
Thank you!! ❤
❤❤❤
Hi again! Today I propped you up on the edge of my sewing machine table and watched you while I sewed bags. Perfect to keep me on task. I’m sure you will be finished your Tolsta Tee for PEI - looking forward to seeing you there. Also… in my hurry to hit the Thumbs Up button at the end of your podcast, my fat thumb accidentally hit the thumbs down… yikes! … which I was quickly able to reverse, but I feel badly if you saw a negative feedback, even briefly. Love listening to you and catching up on your projects and acquisitions. I find all of it inspiring and great for discovering new dyers and makers and designers. 💜
Hi Sadie!!! Can’t wait to see you in PEI. I have my eyes on one of your lavender bags 😍 see you this weekend!
I was so pleased to see you again. I can well understand your frustration at not being able to concentrate on sweater knitting. I have had 4 major brain tumour operations in 2020, and it took me 3 years to be able to knit again - before that, I was able to crochet blankets, and then built up to knitting. I now knit mostly socks, as anything more demanding is still too challenging to me. The Missing Mojo socks are glorious 😍 As a former Kindergarten teacher, I would say that mitts are a wonderful present for Sawyer’s teacher. Jinny - UK
Oh my goodness! I can’t imagine. Glad you are back knitting. I totally know what you mean about socks. That’s my go to most of the time because it’s mindless. I’m glad you approve of the mitts as a teacher gift! I think they’d be good for our Canadian winters when they have playground duty
Love the strategy of taking a smaller bag to a yarn festival😂 Really liked those missing Mojo socks- they’re awesome.
I’ll keep you posted on if it works on not. My friend sent me a “lololol yeah right” when she heard about my plan 😂
XOXOX
🥰🥰🥰
So glad to see you again❤ Your Tolsta tee is going to be amazing - from my own experience I know how hard it is to tackle concussions and read patterns - so glad that you have succeeded. You have so many amazing finished objects. The missing mojo socks and the mittens are in my favourites on Ravelry but haven’t bought them yet🫣 Happy knitting and take care🤗
@@Hanneblack23 thank you!! It’s been a challenge but luckily I’ve got some amazing knitter friends who have helped. It’s making me want to tackle another sweater. Check your ravelry 😉 I sent you a little Monday morning cheer ❤️
@@wheelhouseknits thank you❤️
Glad to hear that you're feeling better. I enjoy knitting socks as well. right now, I'm converting a mitten pattern (Smaug by Jenny Alderbrant) into socks for my grandson. As a family, they have just finished reading the Hobbit. It has taken a wee bit of finagling, but not too much. The Tolsta Tee is designed by Rebecca Clow, (not Claw).
@@adrienneschmidt2053 haha thank you, clearly I can’t read my own writing 🤦🏼♀️🙈
So glad to see you back. Hope health improves.
Monochromatic for sure
Absolutely love the "put a little love in your heart" but I'm not good at weaving ends in as I go, it messes with my tension
Hi Heather. I’ve knit two stripped Tolsta tees and I’m now knitting a plain long sleeved version out of Deborah’s Silk linen. I find it’s such an easy and well written pattern. Love all your socks. Enjoy the rest of the summer!
Hi Darlene!! The tolsta pattern is super fun and very well written. I think it may be like the ranunculus that way. I can’t wait to see yours in Deb’s yarn.
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Hi from NB 🇨🇦 😊
I really enjoyed your episode today. I have added some of the books you mentioned to my list. I recently finished a summer read called Funny Story by Emily Henry. I enjoyed it, perfect to knit by, I listened to it. Enjoy your day, or evening. Kim
That one is on my list to read! Thanks for the recommendation. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’ll probably be listening to that one soon. 😊
❤❤hi Heather,,,,🎉 Love all the socks,,, Doing lots for summer sock camp I am working on shorties with the fairground pattern,,,,and doing another pair of scrappy quilt 🧦 Also heel toe dosido,,,,,❤ Thanks ,,nice to catch up , Elaine ❤️🏠
Summer sock camp is my fav! Probably because I’m constantly knitting socks 😂 I haven’t knit any scrappy ones yet but I should. I have lots of scraps to use. Loved the heel toe do si do pattern tho. Will be making more of this for sure.
Thanks Heather. Enjoyed seeing everything you have been knitting. Have a great day
Thanks Wendy!! ❤
Just watched your episode and kept thinking we have so many similarities, starting with the Ravelry Instagram blip 😂 I didn’t realize I hadn’t subscribed to your channel yet even though I follow you on IG. And 🙌 to mucus suction! It’s something I always gift too for the same reason.
Heading immediately to check out your channel out!! ❤ the snot sucker is the best imo haha. Everyone is so skeptical until their kids first cold.
@@wheelhouseknits 🫶
Mint on mint for the rock it tee!!
That’s what I’m leaning towards too. And Leanne agreed. I think it’s my fav.
Hello, Beautiful yarn choices. I love it when the colors pool in a pair of socks. If I lived closer to you I would untangle the blob of yarn for you. I love doing that almost as much as knitting socks. Thanks for sharing
Thank you!!! ❤ I finally spent two hours and did it yesterday because I needed it for heels. I’m glad it’s done 😂
Love the tolsta tee, Heather, looking forward to seeing it in person! I love the idea of the mint on mint rocket tee
Thank you!!!! I think that’s going to be what I go with. Let the texture show.
I LOVE nose sucker thing. I gift that to ALL new babies. Its a MUST!!!
Right ?!?! The BEST thing. I know it grosses out some people but when your kid is sick it’s a lifesaver 😂
Thank you so much for a lovely episode🫶🏻 your Tolsta tee is going to be so pretty Love all the socks - the colours and the 🧶 Someday I hope to try Turtle purl yarn and Gingersnap🤞🏻 Stay safe and enjoy your vacation and knitting time🥰
Thank you!!! ❤ I’m enjoying your socks on instagram. Hoping to get lots of knitting time on vacation
Thank you 🙏🏻
❤❤❤
Love all the socks! The Tolsta Tee is cute! As always I love hearing what you have been reading too. ❤
Thank you!!! ❤ always lots of books and socks here.
love all your socks
Omg sewing all the parts together cuz my brain is big dumb and I just can't 😑
Winding all of my yarn. I know it’s not difficult, but it bores me to tears.
@@StitchesOfSass I hear you!! My husband winds most of my yarn for me 🙈 I did get a winding station set up with an ikea hack and that has made it somewhat more bearable since everything is out all the time.
@@wheelhouseknits I’ll send y’all all my yarn to wind and you can send your FO’s and I’ll weave in the ends! lol
Can you give me a link to the crochet corner to corner afghan, please? It’s not on Ravelry. Great socks edition!
Thank you to the YT algorithm for suggesting your channel to me! Loved seeing all of your socks! I’m doing summer sock camp and am definitely in my knit all the socks era! 🤣
I love watching your videos you are such an inspiration. I have a question. I thought I saw in one of your videos you were knitting a pair of socks in National Pencil Day yarn by Area 51. Do you know how much yarn you used. ❤. I am looking forward to your next video.
I just read Emily Henry’s latest book (Funny Story) and it’s a perfect beach/summer porch read!
Hello from Ontario Canada! Just found you on UA-cam! Love knitting socks!😊
I am turning heels while watching! I can't wait to sink into you sockies!!!
Hi!! 😊 enjoy the sock knitting. Always lots of socks here 😂
@@wheelhouseknits I took a 3 year hiatus because I stalled on 2 pair. In May I finished 3 pair including the 2 UFOs. I have cast on another 3 pairs now... LOL! I am now hoping to finish 12 pair by the end of the year.
Hi, I’m new to your podcast and totally enjoyed it, now subscribed! Love your projects and yarn choices. Terry
Hi Terry!! Thank you ❤
I love all of your socks. They are all so pretty and your knitting is beautiful!
Thank you!! ❤❤ 😊
These FO’s are so great!! It makes me want to stash dive and cast on 1 million socks for summer sock camp this year!
❤ Love all your makes - from Podcast #1 right through! Really enjoyed all the acquisitions a lot. I am reading The Rose Code by Kate Quinn. All the bet, Joyce
Thank you Joyce!! ❤ ohh that’s such a great book. I hope you enjoy it. I love Kate Quinn books.
Found your podcast from Nancy Wheeler. Really enjoyed all your socks and your haul!
Thank you!! ❤
As always I enjoyed everything about the podcast! The socks are all amazing and I need to make the Lake Ontario Socks! Such a beautiful design. I just finished This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune and I think it was a cute fluffy summer read with some spice. I did not care for her last book at all but this one was much better. You might want to try that one. 😃 Love hearing what you are reading because I’m always looking for suggestions too.
Ohhh thank you for telling me you enjoyed This Summer Will Be Different! I actually purchased that one already but was waiting to hear reviews on it because I felt the same way about her last book. Off to read it! It’s located in PEI too so super close which I love.
I just came across your channel this evening and I enjoy seeing what others are working. I also love your list of shops as well - lots of fellow Canadians!
Welcome!! I knit with a ton of Canadian dyers and have a saved list of those who vacuum seal shit on instagram if you ever “need”some yarn 😉
Heather …your socks all are perfect!!! I absolutely love the colours you choose as well ! So nice of you to take the time to share with us !! It is always a lovely time spent watching and knitting. You are so inspiring thankyou so much !!!! oh by the way your Mom is so lucky to be the recipient of your knitting what a nice gift 😊It was so nice seeing you at the play 💕🧶
Hi Chrystal!!! ❤ so happy to have run into you the other night. I loved the show so much! Looking forward to some knit time tonight with everyone 😊
Loved seeing all your gorgeous socks Heather!!!
