    So let me tell you the story of Hanukkah Harry...who leaves his Mt. Sinai workshop to fly around the world for 7 nights on his magic dreidel pulled by 8 unblemished rams (Shlomo, Herschel, Meir, Avi, Barak, Chaim, Mendel & Gershon...) and brings briskets and latkes to all the frum boys and girls that have a lit Hanukkah bush... Why does he only fly 7 nights you ask, when Hanukkah has 8 nights? Hanukkah Harry doesn't fly on Shabbos yo!

      I did like that skit, but my Hanukkah Harry pre-dated that skit!

    ........I suppose if I were going through heroin withdrawal this might not sound so astonishingly terrible. Stick to singing the blues Bob.

    Interesting that Santa is dressed in brown and not red and white. Antique Santa figurines wearing all brown are very collectable.

    Bob manages to make even this poem sinister. Who knew it could be a horror story?

    in all the versions of seen on you tube, dylan is reading by clement Moore's printing of the poem from around 1840. in that version the reindeer's name is wonder. i think he says 'explain,' which would be a mistake that he didn't think was necessary to correct. i like this posting best of all the ones on you tube because of the artwork. I like it better than the ones with photos of dylan because it's not about dylan, it's about a visit from saint nicholas. thanks for posting.

    According to the URBAN LEGENDS" Website: In the earliest known printing of "A Visit from St. Nicholas" in the Dec. 23, 1823 Troy Sentinel (a small-town newspaper in upstate New York), the given names of Santa's seventh and eighth reindeer were, in fact, "Dunder" and "Blixem": "Now! Dasher, now! Dancer, now! Prancer, and Vixen, On! Comet, on! Cupid, on! Dunder and Blixem;"

    @lustre5 if you look it up it just depends on who it is donner is called by multiple names

  • @jltrem
    @jltrem 12 років тому

    Actually, it is Donder, not Donner and I think he says exclaim, just not clearly.

  • @lustre5

    I hate to be a Grinch, but Bob said "Donder" instead of "Donner" and "explain" instead of "exclaim." Just call me a fussbudget and leave it at that at this season of good will. Never fear, I'm a Bobbette inside and out every season of the year!
