I cannot play any Gran Turismo game. I have 2, 3 and 4 on an emulator. Everything works fine but I am the problem lol. Every time I don't know where to start and how to start. I'd love to play GT2 just like you but I just can't start and don't know where to go lol

Almost forgot, did something happen to the game's discord server? On the speedrun page it says the invite is invalid or expired.

I've been planning to do this speedrun too, just need to find the right time for a 3 hour session. Is it okay if I only include the timer without splits? I think I'll play it fullscreen and I only use a single monitor, so I won't be able to see the splits. The car won't break even if you max every damage out. I think you can lose 3 gears maximum, it's random what gear you'll lose. Once I somehow managed to break the 1st gear by reversing, then switching to 1st (or the other way around) at the start line. If you damage the electrics it will only affect the wipers in cockpit view. The lights will flicker, didn't check what'll happen if it's fully damaged. The back and hood view somehow doesn't play the "bad gear" sound, only the cockpit. It's fixed in the sequel. I also got a warning in the sequel that you hardly can get in this game: overheating the brakes.

Great run! You really got lucky with the AI, almost matching with my best times by stage without AI cars. Surprisingly the Proton Wira is the best in top speed (maybe by 1-2 km/h). Not so much in acceleration. I can almost catch up to the Subaru's times with that. If you select a slower car in arcade the time will increase by 10 or 20 sec. Subaru, Ford and the Proton has the same time.

You can get even faster if you lower the car to the lowest. Never got good results with a high car. Setting the brake balance slightly or fully to the rear also helps with cornering. For better turning soften the suspension, it will slow you down if you set it too soft. For some stages the stiffest is the best choice, because you get a speed boost if you jump a lot (in the game's sequel you want the softest). I always increase the gear ratio from the 6th to 1st. The best setting is to increase it by 2 or 3 for every gear. 4 is the maximum. If you do more the speed and rpm will bug out. When the gearbox starts dropping gears you can get a speed boost if you quickly put it back in gear. The only problem is if you want to shift down when it drops the gear. You can also shift more early, one unit before the redline. Also noticed you brake early on tarmac. You will be surprised how late you can brake and still make a harpin turn. You can't really understeer while braking. If you are going too fast or slipping on loose surface. For stage 11 you should be able to reach 300+ km/h with 4 unit increase. The hard limit is 338 km/h. It's also a good idea if you're near redline, to shift up while in the air. It can give a good speed boost. I've managed to do a sub 2:30 on the first stage with this kind of setup. The wind speed can also help your acceleration on some stages. Cockpit or bumper view might help more with cornering (at least for me). For some reason the RPM meter is different in the cockpit. You can't wreck your car, I've tried it. Only lost 3 gears at maximum gear damage.
