These rational expressions are undefined wherever the denominator equals 0. I call these "restrictions on the domain" of these functions. When you factor your denominator fully, look for all values of x that create a factor of zero. Those will be the places your rational is undefined.

Wow, thank you, that is very kind. I have a feeling that many of my students are making similar comments on other people's math channels (and not "getting" my explanations). I think this is a function of people needing to hear one idea said in two different ways. Then the mind can look at this idea from two perspectives and triangulate understanding, and get some "depth perception" on the idea. Stick with your teacher, they're probably great, and keep coming back for my videos if they help.
