(Super close passes at 2:15) A couple of spectacular days to be in the Swiss Alps as the Swiss Air Force trains in the mountains for the Axalp 2023 Live Fire Event. Aircraft in this video are MD F-18s, Northrop F-5s, and Pilatus PC-21. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the likely only environment a person really wants to hear the 'BRRRRT' of the fighter's machine gun. 🇨🇭🏔️

A few days spent in the California wilderness (mountains and desert) proved to also be a busy time for fighter pilots. F15s, F16s, F18s, F22s, F35s, Harriers.... was pretty cool to experience. Some of my favorites : 00:49, 02:12, 05:31, 07:37, 08:34, 09:51, 11:45, 13:50

Blanca Peak 4X4 Road, Southern Colorado

A Jeep Rubicon and Toyota FJ Cruiser TT wheel up (and down) the Blanca Peak Road (also known as Lake Como Road) in the Sangre De Cristo mountain range of Southern Colorado. Didn't make it all the way up; FJ needed a front locker to get over the Jaws 2 obstacle. Sketchy bits at 01:30 and 03:10. Mountain pup Roxy chillin' at 04:05. Was a fun day!

Honey Creek Loop Hike

Some sights and sounds from the six mile Honey Creek Loop Trail in the Big South Fork River Recreation Area, a wonderful gem in Tennessee. This trail is amazing with so much to explore throughout. If you decide to hit this trail, be sure to check if there has been any recent signifcant rainfall; if the creek's water levels rise this trail could be very dangerous.

Cowpokes and Steam Engine 488 in the Rockies

A scene of yesteryear. In the Colorado Rocky Mountains I stumbled on cowpokes and their cowpups herding range cattle in the Los Pinos Valley as Steam Locomotive 488 pulls a train down the track. The train is operated by Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad of Chama, New Mexico. September 2019. (to hear the mighty whistle go to 1:35 ) cumbrestoltec.com/

It seems the Navy/Marine pilots (F-18) takes more risk flying low through the canyons compare to the Airforce counterpart.

Is that the kern river? Where exactly is that?
Yep. That’s the Kern River Canyon. You can tell because of the rock formation ‘the needles’. We would watch these jets from the top of the needles where the old fire watch tower used to be. They would invert over the top of us maybe 2-300 feet off deck. It was loud.
