My junior year at John H. Francis Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley California I had the pleasure of being taught creative writing by Mrs. Keople, Jackson Browne's mother. We basically just journaled every day to the music of the great 1970's artists like Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell, the Eagles, etc. I went to Jackson's concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and ran into her standing towards the back in the aisle listening and said hello to her. I'm sure she was quite proud of her son.

Sitting at my desk currently thinking about next year and how it'll be my last year in high school. Possibly my last chance to revive my failing SAT scores as well as my last grasps of trying to understand math. As I sit here I also wonder if colleges would accept me for my personal achievements and accomplishments and for what I am rather than some stupid little numbers and letters on a stupid little transcript. I'd be better off dead than trusting that colleges will start to see us for who we are eventually but for right now I just want to let myself go to this song

Awhile back I've made it a promise to listen to this once a year, it's kinda for a dumb reason but it's because this song was uploaded on my birthday and was in one of my favorite shows. But this year is different, I'm 17 now and in the final stretch till adulthood and I dont have a plan for life yet...
