Its funny that people think they can watch a video that someone spent hours to develop and then complain or critique how it's done. I would like to say thank you for the video and you can talk as much as you want. Also your tying technique is fine and I appreciate the effort to show us the fly. I am going to try one and talk to myself the whole time.
Thanks for the positive comment. It is fun to do these videos and more fun when they get some appreciation.
Trolling flies been around for decades. Salmon and walleye.
It has been around a while especially for salmon. It is just becoming a bit more mainstream now that the old secret is out.
even here north of Sudbury not the best ice this year
Thanks for letting me know. My fishing buddy is heading up to the Sudbury area this weekend.
What a horrible winter!!!
Hopefully we will get a deep freeze next week and the ice will thicken. Other than that....YUP it has been crap.
Making noise is good that means it is making ice!! 🙂
Let's hope so. Hopefully after this week temps cool down and make things out there safe again.
Take tour spikes off, scares the crap outta the fish. Another good trick is a carpet, creates a shadow and perch love it. On my camera I can see them jet as soon as spikes start crunching.
I hear you on that one but the ice was super slick with just a touch of water on it. I was going to bring a foam mat out and likely will for my next adventure....as long as the ice sticks around. Thanks for the tips.
@thisomgfishing I was out there yesterday too far end of Georgina, that's when I discovered the ice picks scared the fish. We had a slow day maybe 10 keepers. But when the kids went out to play fish were gone.
My fishing buddy wasn't wearing spikes and the perch still would move off when he walked. You had to pound the bottom to get them back. Maybe the shadow moving from above? We caught a few as well but not the monster jumbo variety. Still was a nice day to be out. @@jBigjohndoe1971
Yo got an OMG fishing notification, good day

Love From Saginaw MI
This is one for the Seahawks and Sounders fans.
Yes that nasty green got me some points last night.😁
Nice technique, going to try this. Thanks! If you had to pick two different walleye flies, which color combos would you pick, I see a lot of perch style and red and whites?
I would do this one with a black and white body with a bit of green on the top
@@thisomgfishing nice, thank you
I have never tried Fly Tying. It looks fun. I need to get after it.
Once you start you will never stop. It's like getting a new box of crayons........endless possibilities. Thanks for the view and comment. Much appreciated.
@@thisomgfishing Yes sir. You've stirred my interest, for sure.
NOT LESS THAN SUPER 👍,,, WELL DONE 👍,, THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND YOUR DEDICATION,,, CREATIVITY THAT YOU BRING TO THOUSANDS OF US …. ,,, MAY I SUGGEST PLEASE,, THAT YOU WRAP YOUR MATERIALS, ,, FOR THIS FLY ,, 2 TO 3 WRAPS,, OF TYING THREAD,,, BEFORE ,,, PLACING ON THEM ON THE HOOK…. IT WILL LAY A BIT HIGHER AS WELL AS NOT WRAP AROUND YOUR HOOK SHAFT,,, IT WILL STAY WHERE YOU PLACE IT,,, JUST A THOUGHT FROM A BEGINNER ,,, WHOS TRYING ,,, PLEASE BE SAFE… TXS AGAIN….
Thanks for watching the video and the insightful comments. I will try this out. Regards
Bass are as fun to eat as the fight they put up
I occasionally eat bass and have to agree. Deep fried in a good batter and serve with ice cold beer.....oh yah
The Wooly Bugger you can only love whether on the lake or in the river, I love to fish with him! nice video, nice greetings from Germany
Steffen, Thank you so much. The Wooly Bugger is my go to fly whenever I try out a new fishing spot.
Thank you for the video, simple but effective
Gary, Thank you for the comment. It is appreciated.
Excellent video! Your commentary didn't bother me in the least!
Thanks for the comment. I greatly appreciate it. It can be a bit of a balancing act with the length of the videos but I do try and give as much information as I can to make the tying easier. Thanks again This OMG Fishing
Nice looking fly . Recipe ??
Norm, The recipe is mentioned in the first couple of minutes but is as follows: Bucktail - Black, white Chartreuse Saddle hackle - White Tinsel - Silver for hook shank Chrystal Flash - Blue for lateral line Thread - White and Black uni 3/0 Hook - O'Shaughnessy or streamer 2/0 Can add some white crystal flash to body and saddle hackle stage. I am endeavoring to include the recipes for my fly tying moving forward. Thanks for Watching. This OM
Mash those barbs!
Nice Fly!
Thanks Gary. I appreciate the compliments. If you ever need any please feel free to contact me and we can see what we can work out.
@@thisomgfishing Thank You!
Very nice fly. Which hook do you use?
I use a VMC Wide Gap Worm Hook typically 2/0. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, it is nice to see that i am not the only person that has to work at things to get it the way I want. So many videos have everything fall in picture perfect like you could just throw things at it and it would be perfect.
I am just trying to keep it real. If it was perfect everytime I think people would get discouraged. Thanks for the comment.
Great video, but to much talking. At 5 minutes in you are still talking!
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the comment. I will take a look at this one and see where I can streamline it.
Good fishing. 👍
Thanks 👍
Good catching
Nice content. Thumbs up!
Thanks for taking the time to watch it. Glad you liked it!
Great video I really enjoyed it and nice catch’s yesterday I went out but only caught 3 bass better then getting skunked though you could check it out if you like it is on my channel 😀
I just checked out your trout fishing video with your buddy who was new to fishing. Good job. I have done some trouting in Nova Scotia myself and am always amazed at how many creeks and rivers hold trout. I too have a UA-cam channel. If you would like a sub for a sub that would be great. And thanks for the comments.
I know it is not MB but that is as close to your area as I ever get.
Wat line namber

I enjoyed the video.
I’m glad I had the opportunity to watch the amazing art process. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and the positive feedback.
you are the best
It was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing the awesome experience. 😁👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just found your channel . New sub good stuff! Just wondering if you still get the mystery box 30? I'm up in the air about getting one . Thanks
Randy, I find that they are just as good as the next. Shipping is a pain but it gets here pretty quick. I have not bought another one since this but likely will when they run another special on them. I think the best deal I had was the LTB Bonanza box. It was loaded and the wait wasn't bad. Lots of stuff but as with most boxes...contain lures I have never heard of. If you are up in the air about getting one I would likely wait for a special. Not sure if that helped you or not. Thanks for subbing as well. Much appreciated.
Wow! Lucky you! 👏
Yes pretty lucky indeed. Just need to try it out now to see if it helps me catch fish...
Good products. Congrats for $20 not bad at all. Thumbs up video.
Thanks a bunch. Yes I was quite the haul.
Nice to see you! Merry Christmas!
Happy new year
Another great video. Thumbs up.
Thanks again!
OMG can't wait to get out fishing!!!
I will be hitting the ice soon if it ever freezes. we will have to get out.
Nice fish man!
I caught the muskie bug again in the last few years. Haven't hit the magic 50" mark yet but have been close. That one almost ripped the rod out of my hands.
Nice job dude! Definetely invest in a better air brush, it makes all the difference in the world. I use iwata.
Thanks for the tip!
Cool video!
Wait until you see the next one. The release of the muskie from the net turned out really well.
Nice fishing. Thumbs up video!
Thanks a bunch. I had fun making it :)
Great fly fishing video. Thumbs up.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
What state?
C. Sorry it is in Canada (Ontario)
I am from Canada so it would be Ontario.
I follow you on IG Good information🔥 Are you impressed with the mystery box?
I think the Mystery Tackle box is a lot of fun as a gift and does have some savings depending on the location of where you live and the exchange rate. The third box I received was the best as it's contents were quite good and had a good variety. Overall MTB is good. If I knew a bass fisherman who needed a fun gift I would go with this. There are a few other boxes on the market in the USA that I would like to look at but they don't ship up here to Canada. Thanks for following me. Subscribe here if you like as well. Much appreciate the comment, question and follow on IG. Regards This OMG Fishing
