@@Listarama Chinese machine did something what ASML couldn’t do. That is manufacture Glass chips sure ASML is the leader company if it comes with manufacture silicon chips but glass chips are much faster and heat resistant than silicon chips. and even with silicon i would say it’s a tie for now this is during the fact that the they put silicon chips in their huawei phones. But even Chinese silicon chips is on 5nm and ASML 3nm if it comes to quality HUAWAI has already surpassed iPhones with 3nm and other examples is the Chinese BYD they were so good on quality and even better than Tesla that Europe ended up banning them 😅 and the fact that Netherlands and United States have been sabotaging china for years says enough that China is way and way better in making technology than them

The products they are being used in being banned doesn’t really help their case. But them being able to produce even nearly as great of products as their biggest competitor, should be a warning. Because when it comes down to it, the government could push for “locally” produced rather than the Dutch one. I need to go read up more on this.

Let's not oversell technology that doesn't match the useability and quality of existing solutions. China is by no means catching up and will not do so for at least the next decade.

All valid, but if you notice, all the videos are 21 item list. This one is the same, it is not based on importance or anything. So certain companies are bound to be left off. This does not mean that they are unimportant or not successful or even not Dutch. There was just no place left for them. :)

"Before Kingsday it was called Queensday and was held on the Birthday of Queen Juliana, the grandmother of our current king Willem Alexander. This is on April 30th. The mother of King Willem Alexander, Former Queen Beatrix, was born on January 30 and opted to keep Queensday on her mothers birthday". So yeah... queensday was on the 30th as Pim already mentioned. Willem changed that to his birthday instead. As Crown Princess Amalia is born onn Dec 7th, it will be interesting to see what se is gonna do.

my uncle was one of the people that helped the development. he still has one of the very first cd and blueprint at home in a valt. If I am correct he has ether cd 3 or 4. the first went in to the Philips company collection. and cd 2 went to if i am correct to Sony.

That piece of history should be worth a lot by now. Your uncle must have stories about how that whole invention came about…

Fokker does not exist anymore, went bankrupt decades ago. If you think it should be in the list then why is the VOC not in the list? The largest company ever existed throughout the world.

@@margreetanceaux3906 nee we wonen in Denemarken, en dan is Amsterdam de hoofdstad.. maar het is ook verwarrend, kabinet in Den Haag, dat zit meestal in de hoofdstad, grootste haven is Rotterdam, meestal ook de hoofdstad, en Amsterdam heeft 't! (ouwe slogan van de gemeente) we zijn een complex volkje..
