Sadly for both of their souls they were lost as a goose, and they are now dead eternal separation from a Holy God,they rejected the God of the Bible,Jesus the “Christ” who could have saved them from hell, and the second death “ the lake of fire “ revelation 20:15~18

George seems like the professor in the room and those men on the front row seem like a bunch of elementary children trying to grasp meditation and religion.

Whilst George may seem holy and solid in his beliefs, he was sleeping with Ringo’s wife, Maureen, to the point of locking Ringo out of “their “ bedroom in Ringo’s home … giggling at Ringo outside in the hall; continuing to do drugs; etc. He said in an interview the prior year that “Christianity will fade away and die … it’s been scientifically proven.” Then, and today, it is still the most widely followed religion in the world. It is sad to me that George sought peace with God but was never allowed to join his beloved Hari Krishna religion because he could not stop smoking (nicotine is often said to be quite like heroin in its difficulty to quit). He continued to abuse cocaine, brandy and marijuana until his death from oesophageal cancer which metastasised to his brain … all the while “preaching” the evils of it and saying that he no longer indulged in that lifestyle. I am a physician (MD) and, more importantly, I am a Christian. I am not perfect, as they say, but I am saved through grace. I pray that John and George both found salvation through God’s grace. I did not intend to proselytise, nor expound with such verbosity. However, I tire of what has now become a world which has never truly studied the Bible, blithely “quote” (in paraphrased) Scripture to support their own particular beliefs and comfort zones whilst denying the degeneracy of the lives that they are living … we all are living in a Pagan Pandemic that accepts everyThing but not everyOne [sic intended]. I John 4.8 says “God is Love”. We should Love everyone and, as Jesus said, Do good to others just as we would like to be treated - proactively; not just by the way in which we live or how happy we seem outwardly, but in the way we are seen loving other people. That would have been a very difficult thing for a Beatle to have done during this time period - and indeed for the rest of their lives, because of the way millions of us idolised them. Still, interesting that the two of them who were interviewed on Mr Frost’s show that day: both died, tragically young, and by the time Mr Lennon died in 1980, we are miles, apart, figuratively in their spiritual quests. John embraced paganism with all of its baubles and excesses whilst George wove his way through a form of spiritualism outwardly, living well within the pagan world privately (as Olivia has attested, she never “got used to” George’s open-armed response to Beatle groupies even while married). I love them both and pray their souls are peace. I also pray that we will be able to enjoy the brilliant music that has come through the four of them without feeling we need to deify them and follow their examples. Only One Life is worth imitating: Christ Jesus, “God with us”. imvho. 🎸👨🏼‍⚕️. 🫶✌️♾️. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Good points made about the Quakers. If all religionists became Quakers the world would be a much better place. Imagine a world without Abrahamic dogma. I say this as an atheist.

1 Corinthians 9 Paul became "all things" (every religion) to bring "Christ"(unconditional love) to the world. Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree (all religions all belief systems) in the garden Gen 2:17 but you must not eat from just one tree (which means one religion one belief system) you then become part of one circle one belief system and you now judge and divide yourself from all other circles religions belief systems for you eat from one you will certainly die. This is why 1st Cor chapter 9 says "Paul became all things"

Dang. George sounds so intelligent and very concise with his words. Where the other Beatles seemed to shift their personalities a lot more, George sounds like he grasped very early on what he wanted out of this life and was very sincere in his thought process in this interview.

Yes, true hippy hypocrisy. Like those who decried modernity and lived in communes, showing up in town once a week to collect their Benefits cheques made available from people who paid taxes working in office buildings and garages etc.

Even though I'm an omnist, I don't agree with George's syncretism. You can find a beautiful synthesis in all religions, but you can't "be" a Christian and a Buddhist. For example, to be Christian is to accept Jesus' death as your salvation of sin and to participate in the Eucharist. To be Buddhist is to follow the middle, eight-fold path to absolve yourself of desire and negative thought, hence ending suffering and achieving Nirvana, a state where you will no longer be reborn. To "be" everything is simply incompatible, regardless of the similarities

A lot of the youth are starting to revert back to the values and ideas held by the youth of the 1960s I feel. A lot of younger people are taking up meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhism. So hopefully this will benefit the future.

The interviewers are so stupid and uneducated about what they're trying to debate with musicians half their age is just so laughable. I can't tell if these people were just very behind the times or if the Beatles were just ahead of them. But honestly one of the most absurd interviews I've ever seen

That's the greatest interview I've seen so far. One person represented the entire society's ignorance, and everyone else presented unbelievably well-spoken arguments. The more serious they appeared, the better their arguments were. The old man impressed me a lot. What I love the most is the level of respect, which is often hard to find nowadays - everyone listens, no one interrupts, and even if they hold completely different views, they separate the argument from the person. Everyone remains rational and respectful. Great.

Before Jesus Christ !! 😂 i absolutely love George and John but im not sure about the hymalayan guy being over 2000 year old man 😂. I wonder if George looked back at this 20 years later and thought how niave was i ! 😂😂, everything else about meditation and spiritual teaching is right on point and only a good thing and George and The Beatles brought it to millions of people who wouldn't have known about it and that was a cultural phenomenon. But the 2000 yr old man 😂. Then again who knows its very unlikely but thats not impossible is it ? How Brave though ? Actually unbelievably brave putting themselves out their to be shot down by anyone and everyone. Absolute legends , culturally and musically and also as men. GOAT.

the separation between john and george's psyche are a universe apart though they're pondering the same question. george is a student of faith, modestly pursuing greater truth and john was just searching for something to fill the void. their approaches are distinctly varied from one another.
