Is it me or white and yellow bass built more like a perch
They do very closely resemble perch! white perch and white bass look very similar; yellow bass and yellow perch have the same shape but different patterns.
@@leagueoffishingYT yeah getting spiked by their guild plates growing up yellow perch and white bass, I was always confused as to why a white bass is considered a bass Scott that kill Spike and it has that spiky dorsal fin just like a perch

How do you find where these fish are? Just kinda lucky or are they pretty much in the same area all the time? Or is a certain depth per water temp? I used to fish with my grandfather for hybrid on the priest all the time. He passed away almost 2 years ago now. I havent been hybrid fishing in about 6 years now. Would love to be able to find some and let my kids catch them on his boat now.
Sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories fishing with family as well. Hybrids in the priest area tend to migrate in schools. One day you will find them in one area and around for a few days. And then next week they have traveled to the completely opposite side of the lake. During certain times of the year they are at different depths. But I would say generally around the 20-25ft range. I will try to make a more detailed video on our process in the future. It’s so much fun to watch the kids catch!!!
