Nice! That's really a wonderful rendition!! I don't know carnatic singing and its intricacies and all (though i do try to learn what is Melakarta ragam & South Indian music theory). I am interested in knowing Tamil linguistics. So, I have a question regarding the pronunciation of ற்ற & ன்ற. Dēvanēyapāvānar in his works say that the pronunciation of ற்ற as tra (close to ட்ற) and ன்ற as ndra (close to ண்ட்ற) is due to the Brahminical influence (to which I personally include the Mudaliar, Pillai & Odhuvaars too because of their Music lineage from the "Thēvaram" bhakti movement period ). He says the original pronunciation of ற்ற is "tta" as in "Letter" and ன்ற is "nda" as in "Send". For reference, listen to Narumugaye song from Iruvar movie. The male (Malayali) singer sings with Close to the Dēvanēyapāvānar's original Tamil pronunciation (like your pronunciation). The female (Tamil) singer sings with the Brahminical influenced Tamil pronunciation. So, my question is "does the Alapanai affect this pronunciation change?!". Like, the missing fluidity is adjusted by twisting the pronunciation?! Is Classical music a reason for this pronunciation change?! This question arised due to the common notion (may be a false one too) among the Singers that Telugu language is better than other languages for classical music. Even in Nalayira Divya prabandham the ற்ற & ன்ற are pronounced differently as த்த & ன்ன. Thank you.
