I have the Nova Comet II. Bought from Technatool. Have used it for over four years, turning lots of Lignum Vitae- the hardest wood in the world that is commercially sold. I have turned many 11 inch diameter bowls in this wood along with other very hard exotic hardwoods. It is not a commercial lathe as the motor is 3/4 HP however with carbide tools and good technic I’ve been able to turn these incredibly hard woods. After approximately three years of turning I had to the electronic control unit . Got lucky because replacement parts from Technatool are limited. The motor blew out last week and I have a replacement on order. It’s not unusual for me to turn at least five days a week for over six hours a day therefore I believe I’ve gotten my money back from the investment years ago. For the lathes capabilities, price and my turning requirements I have been very pleased with its reliability and performance.

I just want to know which of these is the best in the same Chinese built cast iron. They just rebrand them and sell in the US. Some charge thousands more for the same machine sold by another brand in the US.

Jet & Win vibrate apart and do not last long. DeWalt are fast, easier to use (occasional usage) and will last a couple of years. The Makita will last years But if you try to cut too deep on poor quality wood the blades don't last long and the Makita will give the very best finish if your last one or two passes are as thin as you have time for. So for fast and close enough DeWalt, for WOW (but takes time) Makita. I need perfect Makita finish (that's what I get paid for) if I got paid by the good enough, and "next" DeWalt (either one) would be my go to. My workshop mains/corded electric hand plane is Hikoki, Cordless Dewalt, no brand snobbery I just get the best for the jobs I do

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

Surprised you didn't review any of the Grizzly saws or the Harvey Alpha 4 hp saw. Both companies are far better than some of the saws reviewed here. Powermatic and SawStop are overpriced. Grizzly has some very nice saws and the Harvey Alpha series outshines all the saws reviewed here and both Grizzly and Harvey are reasonably priced. These are not the "top 5 best table saws."

This video didn’t stay fresh very long. The Fox saw is currently $2000, the Skill is $700 but is just a job site saw, all the others are unavailable.

Please use a real human, native-English speaking voice in your future videos. The information you present is okay, but the obviously robot voice which speaks in choppy sentences and frequently mispronounces words makes for a painful listening experience.

I have an 18” bandsaw. The machine came with a crappy fence. Do you have a quality recommendation for a machine of this size?

So far as I know, this might have been a very useful video, but I stopped watching it after less than a minute because I couldn't stand the robot text-speak voice and the mistakes it was making. Sorry, but I want to be educated by intelligent human beings, not machines.
