Foreclosure filings across the U.S. saw a slight decline compared to last month and last year, but some states and counties are still experiencing significant activity. In this video, I’ll break down the Top 20 States and their leading counties for foreclosure filings in December 2024.
📊 Highlights:
1️⃣ California leads with over 3,700 filings. Top counties: Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Sacramento, and San Diego.
2️⃣ Texas follows with nearly 2,900 filings. Top counties: Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, Bexar, and Travis.
3️⃣ Florida rounds out the top three with over 2,600 filings. Top counties: Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, and Orange.

Ohio, Montgomery county here. How do I get a foreclosure talking directly to the bank in my area?
Maryland. MoCo here. Property taxes are outrageous.
This is merely a repeat from 2008, the same states and counties in foreclosures again.
I live in Fort Bend county right outside of Houston and you could never pay me to live in Harris county. Harris county has the highest property taxes…..
Hopefully this brings the prices down on houses. More inventory lower prices, hopefully

California's LA. County will be number 1 for awhile with burned down homes that they are still paying mortgages on and insurance not paying.

I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which is part of Kent County. The housing is super inflated & so are the rents. I used to live in Detroit, which is part of Wayne County . I was surprised to hear Oakland & Macomb.

When are the auctions at the Los Angeles court house and how can I find the houses online?
In Las Vegas homes are sitting only on the market for less than 10 days. New construction homes are selling ASAP. I guess that’s why a lot of people move to Tennessee and Georgia South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Texas slow life.

Northern suburbs of Detroit. Genesee County is Flint michigan. Avg price in my northern Oakland county city Rochester Hills michigan is $450k avg.
Wayne County is Detroit. But good news is. That Detroit real estate values in 2 years increased 43% fastest. Growth in the country. Oakland and Macomb counties are east and northern suburbs suburbs

There are *no* jobs. NOBODY is actually hiring. No stable employment=no homeownership (30-year mortgages/loan approvals). Who in the right mind would take up that term of loan when they afraid of being let go at any moment? The old model is crumbling apart. Part-time and gig work can’t support the housing market because most people cannot pay their monthly mortgage based on random “gigs.” Significantly reduced workforce=Home values are going to collapse… epically.

North Jersey and South Jersey should be separate states. All those counties you listed are up North and are the most expensive in the state due to their taxes and location so close to NY. I'm in South Jersey and we have foreclosures also but nothing close to North.

what's the best website(s) to find foreclosures?
In 2008 I lost my dream home to bankruptcy/foreclosure. Someone was able to buy my $329,000 house for $90,000 at an auction. 16 years later i am an entrepreneur with much liquid assests. Now I am in a position to make the $90,000 cash purchase. Do you have a video explaining how the auction purchase process works? Now I no longer live in California, I live in Florida. I want be able to take advantage of the bubble thats getting ready to burst. Thank you and God bless.

Even if Baby Boomers decide to offload their properties or more housing stock enters the market, it won’t alleviate the underlying issue. Wealthy investors will continue to absorb the available inventory, which will keep home prices elevated.
There's also a lack of discussion about the role that major financial institutions-banks, private equity firms, and giants like BlackRock-played by purchasing properties post-2008, treating them as investment assets. It's impossible to fully understand the current housing crisis without acknowledging this trend. Additionally, larger luxury properties are inherently more profitable than smaller, more affordable homes, leading developers to prioritize luxury developments for higher returns.
While I anticipate a future decrease in home prices, I currently recommend diversifying investments away from real estate. Shifting capital into the financial markets or commodities like gold is a safer bet given the current high mortgage rates, recession indicators, and tightened lending standards. Housing prices might need to correct by 40-50% before the market stabilizes. In uncertain times like these, getting independent financial advice from a market-savvy expert is essential.

The HOA dues in California are definitely too high. Ranging from $300 to $500 plus!! The home prices soared during Covid, and they have yet to decline, or become affordable.
GDP's already negative, the housing market's already crashing (see all-time high number of price reductions without any sales still), all-time consumer credit card debt, unemployment is skyrocketing and will surpass 2009's 10% peak. Homes and stocks will crash 60%. It's literally 3rd grade math. It was always inevitable. Already seeing it in every single asset class other than the Crypto market ....I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Seren Wintersun, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
