Uncle John's Dirty Ride 2024 - 26 Mile Race (FULL RIDE)
Переглядів 637 годин тому
Starting and finishing at Uncle John's Cider Mill in St John's, MI. My first time on the bike in a week after a pretty nasty wreck coming home from our local trail system. Felt great to get back in the saddle. This is a FAST race at a great venue and is really well planned/executed. Part of the MGRS.

The Divide 2024 - 34 Mile

Gravel road race in Manton, Michigan. This race kicks my butt every year. It's tough, sandy, hilly, and absolutely gorgeous. Feel free to watch me start off with high hopes, question my life and sanity mid-race, then get mildly excited that I might beat the 3-hour mark (I did).
2024 Cedar Blitz 36 Mile Gravel Race - FULL RIDE

34 Miles, according to Garmin after the ride. I had been off the bike a few weeks and tried to be a little too ambitious early on. That, of course, did NOT pay off. Still, a great day on the bike. Enjoy the entire ride, skip around to see sections you are interested in, or skip all the way to the last few minutes to see/hear me fall over in agony (leg cramps). :)
Cedar Blitz 36 mile Gravel Race - (short vid)

The Cedar Blitz 36 Mile Gravel race in Cedar Springs, MI, on 13 July 2024. It was a fun little course with some nice fast roads, mild elevation changes, and a decent gravel/paved mix. Makes for a fast race. I overheated, and both legs cramped up completely by the end of the race, but I finished. thus was my first time here. I'll definitely be back next year.
Dirty Donut, 2024 - 42 Mile Sprint - Full Ride

The Dirty Donut, held each June in Martin MI. There are two divisions, sprint and DONUT. In the donut division each donut eaten at one of 3 "donut stops" earns you 5 minutes off of your race time. Having done the donut division a few times now, I thought I'd give the sprint a go. Things were going pretty well for the first half of the race.... and then I had a complete meltdown! Back to the don...

This is the turn onto the first private property section of the race. This was an absolute blast and a fun little challenge!
Barry-Roubaix 2024 - Start line through the Three Sisters

From the excitement at the start, through the gut-wrenching first series of climbs. "That 3rd sister's a &^%#!" Only my 6th or so time through here, but the roads were some of the best I've seen this year!
Barry-Roubaix 2024 - Sager Road

My view from Wave 4. I get just a little grumpy when I can't clip back in. Otherwise, I'm my usual chatty, smart-a$$ self. I ate a little dirt, but that's all part of the fun!
the Dirty 30 - 30 Mile Gravel race in Saranac, MI

Some clips of the Dirty 30, 4-13-24. my GoPro battery died about halfway through, unfortunately. I thought I had that figured out. Finish time was 2:04 Cool and very windy out there. gusts were easily 25mph or more at times. Tough day, but I enjoyed it thoroughly!
Lowell Classic 2024 15 Mile
Переглядів 1365 місяців тому
15 Mile Grave Race starting and finishing at Fallasburg County Park in Lowell, MI. Got off to a good start and then hit a couple bumps in the road. Caught my stride and found myself in no-man's land for a while. Finished mid-pack in just under an hour. If you're interested in gravel racing, Lowell is a great option, with spring and fall editions on the same great courses.
