Went To India - China Border In Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
In this vlog! I went to Chumi Gyatse Falls which is called Domtsang and Dongzhang waterfalls in Tibetan and Chinese languages respectively, are a collection of waterfalls in the Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh, India, close to the border with the Tibet region of China. According to the local Buddhist tradition, the 108 holy water falls which originate from in-between the mountains symbolise the blessings of Guru Padmasambhava. The Chumi Gyatse Falls are close to the Line of Actual Control, the de facto border between China and India, just 250 metres away according to one account.
The Chumi Gyatse Falls are in an area called Yangtse where the Tsona Chu river flows from Tibet into India's Tawang district. They are along the cliff face of a high plateau ("Yangtse plateau") formed by an east-west mountain range, whose watershed serves as the India-China border as per the McMahon Line
To the south of the waterfalls, Tsona Chu is joined by another river called Nyukcharong which rises from within the Yangtse plateau. A village called Tsechu also known as Damteng village lies near the confluence of the two rivers, marking the terminus of the Yangtse region.
The Legends Behind the Waterfalls
The most popular legend attributes the creation of the waterfalls to Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, who is revered as the “Second Buddha” by Tibetan Buddhists. According to the tale, Padmasambhava flung his rosary containing 108 beads at the rocks, resulting in the formation of 108 waterfalls. This act was said to be in response to a challenge from a Bon Lama (monk). Another narrative suggests that Padmasambhava created the falls to cure local residents of a plague, and upon drinking the water, they were healed.
The waterfalls are part of the ‘Shangrila Calling’ Festival, an event aimed at promoting Tibetan Buddhism and its relevance to places like Chumi Gyatse. The festival is organized by the Monpas, the primary residents of the area, who aim to preserve their culture and religion. However, Tibetans on the Chinese side of the border are believed to be under pressure, preventing them from practicing their religion freely.

Every part our country and its people are unique and beautiful... I love my northeast brothers and sister irrespective of what religion they follow I see all of us as one civilization.. Until they turned into separatists which cause instability in the region and the people there. In a world where there is already so much division. we must stay united or we will nothing but puppet of a big powers.
Jo safai safai kar rhe hai..bhai khud ko karna hota hai safai, koi tumhari gali mohalla aakr saaf nahi kare to khud karo. It’s a basic thing 😊
