Come See The Cascades Inn, Tiger, GA
Here's a quick advertisement video I did for The Cascades Inn this past week. It's amateur, but they were very happy and I think it turned out well. I'd love to have some extra free time to really dive into the area but for now, here is the finished video. They're open year round and they offer a 10% discount for military, fire, police, EMS, and first responders.
If you liked the video feel free to leave some feedback, like, share, subscribe, all the things. Also if it looks like something you'd be interested in, feel free to visit them online or give them a call.

Hiking Tiger Creek Falls at the Cascades Inn

Welcome back a video where I am lucky to be partnering with The Cascades Inn here in Tiger Georgia. They allowed me to come on what is normally private property in exchange for filming an advertisement for them, which I think turned out well. I will either upload it later or there will be a link to find it. You can always go on Facebook to their page Cascades Inn Tiger GA and find a lot of the ...
Exploring Tunnels Beneath an Old Warehouse
Переглядів 11728 днів тому
Welcome back after an unfortunately long break due to work schedules. Tonight I am adventuring down beneath one of the warehouses where I work to explore old tunnels and rooms that have been here since longer than I have been alive. It was just a fun thought and I figured it was an interesting change up for the channel. As always, I thank everyone who comes back and watches the videos when I am...
Hiking Paradise Falls (Challenging Trail)
Переглядів 54Місяць тому
Last stop coming through North Carolina is Paradise Falls. The trail is short but the steepness puts this one in the Difficult category according to AllTrails. It is one where so long as you take your time and look at each step you should be fine coming down and going back up but the conditions remain slick due to a small branch beside the trail. The pool at the bottom though is worth the effor...
Dumping Out Small Potato Planters
Переглядів 632 місяці тому
Welcome back to a quickie today here in the back yard. Decided before the storm comes in to go out and dump out the planters I was growing potatoes in this year. As you'll see the haul isn't as large as I was hoping for but this season has not been the most kind with heavy drought, a loss of sun in the back yard, and all around lack of time to put into things. That being said, it was not a comp...
Hiking Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls
Переглядів 1392 місяці тому
Back again for the second stop in North Carolina. Here to see Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls and both were incredible sights. You can tell by the parking lot that these are visited by many people as we were here early in the morning and the lot was already full. Take in the trails and of course at the end is a wonderful rock to slide down that drops you into a deep hole. There were a lot of...
Hiking Upper Whitewater Falls
Переглядів 3222 місяці тому
Welcome back everyone and let me start by apologizing for such a long break in hiking. We're back now though on what ended up being a 4 waterfall trip in North Carolina. First up was Whitewater Falls which rides the border between North and South Carolina and has the distinction of being the highest east of the Rockies. Impressive falls and I was lucky to have this one all to myself since I arr...

Hiking Tennessee Rock Trail (Welcome Back in 2024)
I love seeing all the beautiful waterfalls
Thank you. Wish I had time to film more often. One day.
looks spooky,
@@oakeymthomestead4635 little bit when you're down there alone.
👍
Just what I needed this morning, thanks!
@@mags7226 I think everyone could use a little time in the garden first thing.
Wonder if there is any Trout in there
@oakeymt.outdoors there were a few but they disappeared as soon as I got near the edge. There were quite a few Warmouth though.
Saw blue crayfish in the pools around the boulders at bottom once.
@delboytrotter2042 hadn't seen much though the previous summer I did run into a paper wasp nest hanging above the upper falls.
Absolutely gorgeous scenery man, this was relaxing and soothing experience! Love it 👏👏
@ervinslens North Carolina has some incredible falls. Several more to come.
Your tomato's look fantastic. What do you do that makes them so healthy ??? I keep trying to grow them, but get very few tomatoes....🍅
@nbmwood a lot of the time we plant then with Epson salt and calcium tablets in the hole and plenty of water. Also plant them deep. Then it's just a matter of constant weeding, watering, and picking.
Is that early corn ?🌽
@nbmwood it is. Peaches and Cream the should be ready for the Farmer's Market in the next weekend or so.
Nature is so breathtaking ❤
@@nbmwood these falls really made me feel small. But gorgeous.
We’re is this?
@kyleferrentino1723 the falls are located in Tuckasegee North Carolina. The trail is one of the most strenuous I have ever done with near 90* climbs from root to root. I'll have the main video up in a few days.
Great idea ❤
Adorable ❤
Just one of my little buddies.
Gloria a Dios amen 🙏 🙌 👏 ❤❤❤
Thank you. Great Harvest.
bloody shock camera use, can you swing it any faster??????
Probably. I'll try next time.
Cull-a-sage-ah is the pronunciation. Hope you don't mis pronounce App-a-latch-un too... LOL, Thanks for the video, I used to drive that road a lot! It will tighten your sphincter in places.
Teigan has been wanting to walk the steps to the gorge and I wasn’t sure what to expect and because of this amazing footage, I can now show him and see if he is still up to it! Thank you so much for sharing this Zack! This is fantastic 🙏💙
The steps aren't bad. The floor and the climb out are rough though.
My hometown 💜 love this!!
I've done a lot of waterfall hikes since last year when the channel started. Had to put them off with all the gardens going in but I will start back soon and adding in kayaking videos in the next month I hope. Thank you for supporting.
It's looking good. It shows you can do quite a lot in a small space. A taste of farmsteading.
Beautiful 💜
Thank you Jess. Hope you're doing well.
milk? no. if you want to work calcium into your routine, check out using crushed and baked egg shells broken down with vinegar. milk calcium isn't in the form that plants need.
Have used egg shells. Have used calcium tablets. The milk was just a test to see how they react and as of right now the plants have doubled in size and are darkening well. So right now really happy with the outcome.
I feel like what you did there may have shocked the little ones, I mean I saw one flowering, but I think it's due to stress in the little pot, but Imagine ripping your kids limbs off, leaving them exposed or rubbing dirt on the cuts, leaving them in the direct sun and then putting cold water on them
We've been doing it for more than 30 years this way and have had crops beyond what we ourselves can consume. If you'd like you can view the videos from last year and look at the plants afterwards. They have always thrived with this method but thank you for your insight.
@@peacefulvalleyoutdoors So for 30 years you never tried a different method, then you cannot say that yours thrive without trying other methods. I'm talking about a deeper understanding for living things. Good luck. But remember, luck runs out.
@XTCMatrix considering the crops do well enough to feed 2 households as well as keep the local farmer's market busy, I'd say they thrive; and if the current method of growth results in produce that far exceeds our current needs, it wouldn't make sense to start changing things now. As stated in the video, there have been changes made in the past, using calcium tablets, Epson salts, milk, etc.
if u look the roots only go upto the false / first leaves.
While true, the added depth in planting is also just a means of creating stability in the plants, especially when planting vertically.
@@peacefulvalleyoutdoors huh?
@@endoftheage.bibleprophecy2023 Your comment that the root hairs extend to the first false leaves. My response was that this is true, but we plant them deeper to give the plant an even sturdier base to begin with. You can bury a plant horizontally with just the top cluster of leaves showing, and it will thrive. Tomatoes love to be deep.
@@peacefulvalleyoutdoors but why when the roots only come up to the false leaves? Do u use woodchip
@@endoftheage.bibleprophecy2023 Tomatoes actually have the ability to sprout additional roots along the buried stem. These extra roots strengthen the plant so that it can support more fruit and is better able to survive hot weather. (This applies whether you're growing in the ground, in a raised bed, or in a container.) It's just how I've spent the last 30 years watching people plant and planting our own tomatoes. I do not use wood chips. In the past I have used wheat straw and then at time I use nothing but have had success with either way.
I used to love going by there. I really miss the area.
Yay, you can finally comment on the channel. It's a beautiful area around there and a lot of different sights.
I like such market
It's our booth every Saturday. Love it.
Walking on raised beds? A no no . That “ compost “ needs another year before you use it. Topsoil is weak . 👎
Scraps and compostables can be buried directly in a bed around your plants to break down over time. They don't have to spend a year before it's ready to be used. As for the topsoil, the beds do not consist of it. They are a mix of top soil, compost, grass clippings, peat moss, sand, and garden soil.
I followed because this is exactly what am doing in mines.
Thank you so much for following. This is my second year doing raised beds behind the house but we've been putting in major gardens in the fields where I grew up since I was young. There is nothing that tastes better than vegetables started, grown, and harvested all by yourself. Best of luck to you.
If you do your research , one can make richer soil than anything bought in a bag.
Yes, that's very easy too. But I never simply use soil bought in bags. That's why peat moss, compost, sand, and organic matter are all added.
Beautiful
Beautiful!!
Thank you. Small falls but they were worth the little hike.
Please don't take a leak on camera 😂
That's director's cut footage.
I second that!
😂
What is the size rebar you used?
Honestly, now I am having trouble remembering which, but it was a standard rebar 2 feet long from the local Home Depot.
Just beautiful! Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you.
Love love it!
It was probably my favorite that day.
Beautiful!!!
Thank you. There will be 1 more to come from the trip. Sadly, the footage for Dry Falls got corrupted, but you can see photos from it on the community tab.
Wow great spot! do some underwater recording
I was thinking the same thing.
Beautiful! Where are Coyote Falls?
It is a waterfall about 10 to 12 minutes outside of Cashiers North Carolina. You can find it easily using the AllTrails App. That's how I plan my trips.
Awesome waterfall
Thank you. We've been to so many over the last year and there are some incredible ones coming in the next month or so.
Thank you for the video. We plan to visit in a few months.
Thank you for watching and of course thank you for the support. Here in the next month, or so, there will probably be plenty of farming videos. It's that time.
Just beautiful@
Love love
Thank you. Knew I had to get some of them frozen. This was the best I found.
Not to good
Given that the soil in the beds had never been worked, I wasn't expecting the biggest haul. But, adding to it and conditioning it over the years will greatly increase the yield. Everything takes time.
Very nice! I'd like to go there someday. I like how peaceful and secluded it is.
It was the easiest of the hikes. Short and smooth ground.
Looking good.
Woohoo
so unreal you guys have a discount on a teared bag... here, home depot (bauhaus, but same) will charge you the full price even if the bag is rugged by a forklift and half of it missin' :D :D
That's a shame. Yeah they're usually half price here when they are damaged. Or like the video I did at Christmas they put some on sale. Really stocked up then.
yes, i saw at many channels, there are nice discounts at dead season too on fertilizers, etc. Well, different market. :/@@peacefulvalleyoutdoors
What type of fertilizers were you using just before planting your plants. Ad what were those white rocks you inserted in the hole. Thanks
The fertilizer is actually Epson salt. The small white rocks are actually calcium tablets. Tomatoes are fond of calcium as it can help with pollen germination and helps with growth. It also helps with the fruit quality.
I have clay as well
Red clay can be a pain but there's thankfully ways to work with it. Thank you for watching.
Watching your videos 😊
Thank you for your support.
Beautiful
I've got 1 more in mind when it hits single digits again that might rival this one.
