I remember living in College Station the year Ben started this series. I am now coming back to this series almost 10 years later. There is so much wisdom to take from this.

Something I've learned is that dating is the time when you build habits that are supposed to stay with you into marriage. Taking him/her out on a date, holding hands, treating each other special on birthday or holidays, getting to know each other, conversing and then something that Ben mentions that doesn't really happen, that clarity. The open communication, disagreement, navigating through conflict, etc. I am a drivers ed instructor, and I've noticed that people often think they've "made it" when they get their license, then they stop doing all the basics, then accidents happen. Same thing with relationships, they stop doing all the basics, aka all the stuff you do in dating to make it great. Just because you have a license doesn't mean you know how to drive. Just because you're married doesn't mean you know how relationships work. It requires continued conscious effort and good, basic habits. You haven't "made it" you're still going, just together now. Just something I've learned. :)

Wow, God leads our footsteps through the day. I read of psalm 119 today. Then ten hours later in a sermon I watched tonight, the scripture was mentioned. Then into the early hours of the morning in another sermon the next day, another passage I had read the last morning was mentioned. All within 24hrs. Praise the Lord

Just watching this and I must say it’s the bomb!

I am divorced ten years, have an eleven year old son. I don't know why God does what He does? I was 38 and she was 33, we both wanted a family, from the south, seemed to be on the same page, quick Marriage known each other 8 months. The pain I have known brought me closer to Jesus and would not change a thing. It made me a better Man. And I love my son! She hates me and desires nothing more than destroy me. Jesus had to teach me love and forgiveness, I don't think its possible with out Jesus. I can not change her but pray Jesus changes me and pray blessings and Jesus shows her the Grace and Love He has shown me. Her hate and desire to hurt me makes me run to Jesus! The take away is take your time and make Jesus the main focus. After looking back I was just a player in the drama of her life. Sex before Marriage changes everything, you look past who that person is because your needs are being met physically. Wait, keep Jesus on the throne, get your needs met by Jesus! Remember people are like Vampires they can't come in unless you invite them. Guard your Heart!

Let’s not forgot the soul ties that are created through unbiblical sex. You attract many demons and spiritual spouses through sexually immoral practices.

This video was incredibly useful to me. I have struggled with pornography addiction that began at the age of 10. Now at 33 I'm tired of the cycle of letting it go and going back to it again. I'm going to apply this information to my own life.
