    I’d be interested in seeing you build a lock on stand similar to a xop. I’ve got some rough plans in my head using 1/8” 3/4 flat stock for the base and seat.

    On the cleet or the tree y shaped thing I think I can probably bend it to shape without welding I think

    • @kodiacademy9825
      @kodiacademy9825 Рік тому

      I have been using it for two years now and it's not a problem because all the weigh is pushing down on it kinda like a 2x6 you can easily snap it if you bend it on its side but if you stand it up straight it can hold a lot of weight

    • @kodiacademy9825

    I'm glad you found a use for that POS table saw. I clicked right away when I saw it bc I have that same model as a backup that I literally never use (I have loads of Ryobi tools that work great, so I was astounded at just how bad that fence was!). I bought the Dewalt 745 as a replacement, but I'm in the process of making extensions (wings, outfeed, etc.) for the the 745 right now when, really, maybe I need to put the Ryobi in a tabletop for larger cuts. I wish you had done a video on that project bc I'm thinking of following in your footsteps. Great work all around!

    Would it make sense to add a GFCI outlet inside this box or use a GFCI cord on the heating element side that plugs into this?

    • @kodiacademy9825
      @kodiacademy9825 9 місяців тому

      Yes you could however if you are running 240 volt or 30amp 120v you would have to get a gfci outlet to match that Amp also you would have to rest the gfci every time you plug in or unplug but that's not that big of a deal

    This may be a dumb question but what’s the max temp this set up will hit .. I’m a first timer and want to make sure this would heat up my 10 gallon still threw the entire run ?

    • @kodiacademy9825
      @kodiacademy9825 4 роки тому

      So it will definitely heat up well past 212 degrees you could run 20 gallons it's just that it would take longer to get up to temp for example with a single small element it would take about a hour on full blast to get 15 gallons up to 170 180 if you go with 240 volt and a larger element or even 2 element's it would cut the time down significantly

    • @kodiacademy9825
      @kodiacademy9825 4 роки тому

      As you run the temp will continue to rise the whole point of this controller is to be able to control the temp and speed

    • @tanner8057
      @tanner8057 4 роки тому

      Okay awesome could you run dual elements on the same 110 configuration? Or would I have to step the element size Down?

    • @kodiacademy9825
      @kodiacademy9825 4 роки тому

      i would NOT run 2 elements on 1 box some people have 1 element ran by the box and the other just has a on off switch on it and they plug them in on different circuits when it gets to the desired temp they turn the one element off and control the other element with the box. I would strongly suggest you have a professional or someone who knows electric well make sure that the wiring and circuits are capable of handling the power.
