This is such an important conversation and I’m thankful that you all are addressing the topic. The focus of the conversation was on children Kindergarten to grade five but like you said, it impacts all children. Children are shaping their understanding of what a family is, and the order of family based on their experience., They need to know that, although their circumstance may be different than what God set forth as the order of families in the earth, that God still has a purpose for them, loves them so much, brought them forth and is watching over their family and there are examples of that in the Bible.. That relationship between all the adults involved in a child’s life is so important. As sister Gloria alluded to that focus if going to God in prayer and speaking with love over your children and hearing your child is essentially important especially when one parent or one set of parents are believers and the children may be spending time with parents who may not be believers or they may believe in God but their lifestyle may not be different than what the children are being taught in the other household and learning in church. Our children need covering. They need the word and they need to be able to talk so that they can grow up to be strong men and women in the faith and l have blessed lives. So they grow to value family and learn self control and discipline over their bodies like the minister said to not continue the pattern but keeping the order of family as God intended.
