the pic of the heavy metal sound was from the end of the 60s to the middle of the 70s and from 1979 to 1985 with the N.W.O.B.H.M. and then the heavy metal sound just was no more, there are a bunch of bands that may have kept the sound in their deepest roots, but bands nowadays are just crap ............. this is my personal opinion anyway.
