Why do all these new bands either want to be Joy Division or the Cure. I love the 80s vibe but ive yet to hear a band that would have equaled the great bands of the era. Its just not hit the spot yet.

Fvcl<ing killer thumping of the drum machine... shimmering leads... and long twisting & morphing synthesizer lines (along with some out there cosmic embellishments) really command all of your attention with this record. Cold Cave is great at crafting dark and haunting anthems & the unusual 'darkwave-ballad'. These songs hit the mark if a classic cold/darkwave haunting is what you're after scrolling through the myriad of UA-cam videos. Click on the cover art there. Sit down. Don't prepare anything except your mind and spirit: prepare for them to transcend the doldrums of all music except the music of Cold Cave. Prepare to be blown away by the intensity. The rhythm. The basslines, synthesizers, and his hauntingly desperate and furiously unfazed vocal delivery. Chills run down one's spine as the next song begins and throws a complete sonic curveball of almost mystic proportions.
