} Gospel + A Cappella + Innovation {
In the time the Penny Loafers have been together, they have gained a loyal following, appealing to young and old alike through a blend of musical styles and tight, a cappella harmonies. From 50's doo-wop to contemporary gospel, the Penny Loafers' repertoire includes a healthy dose of original material and fresh arrangements of traditional favorites. Add some impressive vocal calisthenics and you have the "Loafer Style," a unique, crowd-pleasing sound that has frequently earned the Penny Loafers standing ovations at their performances.
In 2010, the group celebrated 25 years of loafin' together. There have been some membership changes since that first performance, but the foursome of Alan Pike (bass), Larry Nichols (baritone), Kevin Slemp (2nd tenor), and Michael Hunt (1st tenor) have been singing together since 1994.

WOW! Thank you soooo much for this awesome rendition! When my 88 year old Dad comes to see me, he always asks to see this, not having internet access. He loves the Lord and looks forward to that "glorious ride in sky" that you sing of. As Dad says, "You have to know how to die before you can know how to live" Praise God...and how true. Thank you and blessings to you always!
When I was a kid, Star64 in Cincinnati played a shorter version of this song to scenes from Andy Griffith as a promo...It's always stuck me with. Thirty years later, I find this. BTW, the guy playing Ander here is VERY spot on...looks like this was a lot of fun.
I love this!!!
